Moon Tea House — Restaurant in Roseville

We were locked in so you can’t leave. We had to pay a nonrefundable deposit of $50 each so when we begin the meal you can’t leave unless you want to forfeit your deposit. The so called scone at the beginning of the meal was as hard as a rock and tasted like saw dust molded together. I’m not so picky but really; our waitress, who was the owner, served the main course and it looked really good. My mouth started watering. Then I tried to put my fork in my chicken. I could not press hard enough to pick it up with my fork. I felt like I was try to drive a fork into the concrete outside. I picked it up with my hands to learn that the reason I couldn’t stab it was it was as hard as a rock.

Wow! I picked up the supposed chicken with my hands and noticed the half inch three piece could not be bitten through. I held the piece in my mouth and was fearful I would have to get my veneers replaced if bit into it. And if you can believe it the meal and service got even worse.

I hate to review a restaurant like this, however, I feel it is my duty as a resident of Sun City to warn you not to drop $150. If you do don’t order chicken. Oh, the seafood and desert was not different. I was envious of our waitress because she stood behind the bar and watched her eat food actually...

Very disappointed with the customer service. I asked a question about one of the drinks, the cashier just said, "I don't know" and nothing more. I found it odd that they have someone up front who doesn't know anything about the drinks (I asked what kind of tea is in it, if it's black or green, etc.) They also didn't offer to find out, to ask the manager or someone who could help. Not knowing what's in the tea I ended up ordering something I didn't enjoy, which I asked if it's okay to switch it out for something else. They said no, which is alright, but when I asked if I could add some tea or something they also said no, even though they offered to adjust the drink. Instead of tweaking it slightly, they turned down my request entirely. Overall I left very upset that they weren't more helpful with explaining and answering my questions so I'd avoid getting something blindly and...
