A number of years ago, my ex-wife introduced me to this place. Immediately fell in love with the Breakfast Burritos. Screamin then. So, fast forward to July 29th, 2012. I took my current wife, and the littlest ones, here and did have some reservations on whether or not it had changed for the worse. When we pulled up there were only 3 or 4 cars present. I remember it being a hoppin place. In any event, we were starvin'. So we went in, set our kids down, figured out our order and I went up to order. As we were deciding, a couple of other people had come in so I did have to wait to place our order. But not long. Soon enough we placed our order and although it did take a little while, it wasn't so long as to really complain about it. When we received our order I was VERY HAPPY to see that the food hadn't changed in over 15 years!! The breakfast burrito was exactly as I remembered it and had described to my wife as a full breakfast order rolled up in a tortilla. And I feel the prices were quite reasonable as well. My only complaint was that getting a coffee refill wasn't a high priority item to them. That's why I listed service as a 2 not 3. Decor has changed from what I remember 15 years ago and I rated accordingly. Food I'm happy to say hasn't changed one bit. Still a dang good bit of grub. My only recommendation to them would be to think about eliminating the drive through or limiting the items that can be ordered through the drive through. I feel the drive through takes precedence over the sit down crowd. Aside from that, I hope to go back to Calif. Burger when I'm in town again. Wife was impressed with the food too! UPDATE: 092319 Still doing good. Service was improved when we were...
Read moreOn my continuing journey through a "Burger Safari", the California Burgers in Citrus Heights on the neighboring boarder of Roseville has a unique flare on the the types of Burgers they offer to the different types of food. Anywhere from the price point of a standard California Cheeseburger starting at $7.50 to their biggest Pastrami Burger running at just over $17. Their variations of burgers beat out other Burger places in terms of amount of choices that are served.
This is a sit down place, which they call your name to pick up and take to the seat and they usually pick up the remains when you leave, but also have the option to throw remains away yourself. Apparently, every Wednesay ( as per today), California hosts Classic Car Showing in their parking lot. I think it is a club that shows up. If anyone else know the details on that, feel free to reply your knowledge to Google Local Guides. We might want to know about it.
Passing by California Burgers once in a while, I believe they also host a VW Auto Club in their parking lot as I have seen in the past. Again, anyone out there has knowledge on this, let us know.
Unofficially, I rate the Cheese Burger that I ordered 5 Stars. Although seemingly served to perfection, the veggies are fresh and crisp and the Burger is tender and seasoned, but had to officially give 4 Stars to the restuarant because they don't offer Military or Veterans Discount. At least that I what I was told when I asked about it. All in all, what this place offers in food variety does not do the name...
Read moreOkay here it goes it's more like a fancy fast food joint. It is designed diner-style but you know you go to the counter or you order your food you pick up your ketchup and you pick up your food fast food style. It is really nice place the staff is really nice the place is amazingly clean. I kind of hesitated at first because it was how can I say this without being racist I was only black person there and the other minority there was me was the Mexican cook so we can say that they pull in mostly a white crowd. Don't let that stop you from going the food was awesome I mean I had an old fashioned handmade Burger not many places is really do that anymore unless you have some fancy restaurant. I recommend getting it two Patties because mines was kind of flat. You how you get a Burger on the grill and just flatten it that's how it was so I recommend getting a second patty just too juicy it up. I just had a burger and Fry combo you know some traditional can't go wrong with but they have all types of stuff on the menu they had a teriyaki burger soups and salads they have everything so this is one of my highly recommended places to go eat it...
