Visited this restaurant this evening. Upon walking in we were greeted by a young lady with unique goth make-up which I thought was cool and she was polite and showed us to our table. I did notice her black/white devil mask, and a tattoo that represents Satanism. It didn't really bother me because ppl can worship who and what they choose. My husband ordered the Greek chicken and he and I agree it was good and juicy. I ordered fried chicken, it was also very good also. It was crispy, had a good flavor, juicy, and super crispy. The waitress Yvonne was very nice and attentive and I did let her know I would mention her in a review. She seemed very sweet. Prices were great as well. Overall, it was a great experience. When we were done with dinner, we walked to the register to pay and in the middle of servicing the patron ahead of us, the young lady with the unique make-up is literally drawing the devil or a demon on a small piece of paper or a napkin while 3 customers are standing there waiting to complete our transaction. Again, I don't care who you worship, what you worship or how you worship. As long as it only affect and effects you and you alone. But do that on your own time. I would have thought the same thoughts if someone was standing there drawing crucifixes while we waited to be serviced. As a business owner, I would have definitely addressed it with my employee(s). Oh and, yes, the manager or owner or the man who seemed like he was in charge, since the young lady kept calling for him when ppl where checking out. It's just not a good look for this to be your customers first point of contact. Otherwise, I...

FOR A PIZZA...
I just ordered from Lou Malnatis a few days ago.... And their large was 1-2 less toppings, yes. But if you are trying to market/sell a pizza thats an equivalent to THEM... It better be amazing. Yet, it was pretty basic.
This was my last straw with them. Hell just look at what they charge for salads...
Not sure why, but this place is getting worse every year. They used to have amazing food (albeit a bit pricey for what it is). Now they never get orders right and forget half of the condiments every time. Including basics like utensils, on to-go orders...
I ordered their corned beef special on St. Pattys Day week and got about 4-6 dry slivers of corned beef and a half a head of cabbage for almost $20... I normally order a chicken/egg salad sandwich on a croissant (which costs extra) and almost every time it has been put on white bread/toast.
Then once, when I called them out on not putting it on a croissant, the lady at the counter said "keep it, we'll make you a new one. We can't take it back, COVID and all". Fair enough and admirable that they'd say that and take the hit. 5 min later... my bag was requested from me, taken in the back, and 10 minutes later a new bag with a new sandwich... Take that...
Read moreWe have been to Maxim's several times now since it's in our neighborhood. The food is always pretty good and the waitresses are very nice. We typically go for breakfast but I always order lunch, but the last time that we went we went for an early dinner. My husband ordered the souvlaki and I decided to go for the pizza. We lived our entire lives and Chicago before moving here 7 years ago and are always on the look out for pizza that can live up to Chicago pizza. Well, I finally found it! Not only was the pizza good but the waitress actually grew up in the same neighborhood in Chicago that I did and went to the same high school that I did! What are the chances? So tonight we decided to do carry out and we ordered pizzas. I get the pizzas home and we're eating them and it's very delicious but there's something so different about it but I couldn't put my finger on why. Well, turns out the difference was our pizzas had NO TOMATO SAUCE. Do we have to ask for tomato sauce on our pizza? We ordered different toppings but none of the toppings listed on the menu were tomato sauce. Is it possible to start making a pizza and not start with tomato sauce or a white sauce or pesto or something?...
