I would just like to start by saying I usually donāt write reviews and really wanted to enjoy my experience here. I used to come here as a kid and was excited go here after moving back to the area.
My girlfriend and I came in tonight and experienced what I think was the most awful dining experience iāve ever had.
Iām saying this as someone who has works in the industry for 13 years and used to own a restaurantā¦so I usually am understanding and forgiving but my experience left me inclined to leave this review so others donāt have to subject themselves to this place.
The main issue I had was with our sever. He was an older gentleman. From the get go he was incredibly stand offish and rude.
Our waiter did not even say hello or any thing other than ādrinks?ā In an irritated tone.
I told him I would have a water while i looked over things.
My girlfriend had not even had a chance to order her drink and he just replied āAlright 2 waters thenā and walked off as she tried to order a coke. We had to call him back so she could get the drink she wanted.
I was going to maybe order a drink but he took the list from us angrily saying āiāll take this since we are not getting drinksā
At that point I did not want to bother talking to this man again since he obviously did not want to take care of us.
I hoped the food would make up for the off-putting service but that was bad to. Everything tasted like it was nuked in the microwave and the sauces were watery and flavorless. My girlfriend could not even eat her chicken because it was so rubbery and dry.
we gave her plate to the manager told him it did not taste good and she might get a desert. I decided to keep mine because I was hungry. He did not seem to care or even be concerned with what was wrong with it. Just asked if she wanted to order something else.
We decided we did not want to spend any more of our money here and asked for the bill. When the server came back he did not even acknowledge that she had a problem with her food or say anything. Our waiter just dropped the check and said nothing.
I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was just having a bad day. But then we noticed that he was being friendly to all the other guests around us.
Like i said I am usually understanding knowing how hard the business can be but this was ridiculous.
I honestly could careless about the food being bad. I was excited to dine here again and was embarrassed having told my significant other that this used to be a decent restaurant. We will definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner and I went to the Bocce Room for his cousin's wedding reception, and it was FANTASTIC!! The menu choices were 3 different "salad" options, chicken parmigiano, eggplant lasagna, and rigatoni(?) alfredo, with these really big (a bit more than fist-sized) garlic bread knots that are firm on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The desert was some sort of rich chocolate cake as well as raspberry cheesecake, both of which were served in large (2.5" wide, 2" tall, and a good 7" long) slices with the option of whipped cream that HAD to have been made in-house, because I've never tasted anything like it before. My favorites were the eggplant lasagna and the raspberry cheesecake: the eggplant was vegetarian (I generally don't care for vegetarian options, so this was a first!), somewhat light, very flavorful, and incredibly filling, while the cheesecake was heavy and thick yet creamy, actually balancing out the meal as a whole. My partner preferred the Caesar salad, chicken parm (which is lightly breaded but retained some crispiness beneath the red sauce), and the chocolate cake, which he said was "perfectly moist and sweet." The bride and groom also paid for an open bar, and the bartender was super sweet and knowledgeable about certain flavor profiles, while the waitstaff was incredibly efficient and kind. In short, we enjoyed the food AND the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo this restaurant was my boyfriends favorite as a kid, and i never had it so i was super excited to try! well i should've stuck with my original plan and went to olive garden. to start, our server was so rude. didn't even say hi when he came to the table and just asked what we wanted to drink. my boyfriend ordered a water and he said "ok two waters" and started walking away and i had to call him back just so i could order my coke. then we ordered our food, and everything tasted microwaved and was so hot like it was sitting under heat lamps forever. we got the meatballs as an app, and i ordered the chicken vodka that i ended up sending back because the chicken was so dry and the sauce was so watered down. i told the manager i'm assuming and he wasn't very apologetic, just asked if i wanted to order something else. which i didn't. when our server came back around he didn't even say anything about my food being sent back. he just took our plates and didn't say a word. I honestly felt our server was making assumptions that we wouldn't tip because me and my boyfriend are a young couple and this was an older man. I could tell by how he was super kind to the older couple behind us. i feel so bad because me and my boyfriend both really wanted to enjoy our time since he used to love this place but we definitely won't...
