Oriental Cuisine — Restaurant in Roswell

Server = non existent, even with maybe 2-3 more tables in the entire restaurant! They looked surprised to see me at lunch & the Mongolian beef was 🤢. Yes I ate it because I was hungry, and no one checked on me until I was practically done eating. I had to flag them down for a drink refill & the check.

Then they tried charging me dinner prices when I'm there at 2pm for lunch , pointing to the item on the lunch menu. Who eats dinner at 2pm? After arguing with the manager , she finally changed it after making me wait another ten minutes with No apology. At first she offered knocking off 10%, I said nope, then she said it was a dinner portion= not my fault. So yeah watch your video tape . Best of luck , you're going to need it...

Then within 5-10 minutes of the owners response to my review here on Google, I received a harassing message on my Instagram account from an account I don't follow. Coincidence? I doubt it considering I don't get random hate messages accusing me of lying. Harassment for a bad review is a nice look guys. I also went back up to the restaurant after I received the message , and again the manager was arguing & denying everything about my experience.

Funny how the look on her face changed when I brought up Instagram. Lie all you want guys. That was too specific, too close in time to your reply, to be a coincidence. With 800 followers I've never had 1 message like that in 15 years of being on Instagram. The look on your face in person after said it all.

Bottom line I waited ten minutes at lunch to close my tab , in an empty restaurant. No apologies were given until my post here on Google. The only time the manager asked if everything was ok , was after they charged me for dinner , when I was done eating. This owner hated seeing a negative review, vs what really happened. I worked in the restaurant industry myself for ten years when I was younger, so I'm not just making this up for fun & wasting my time. There's so many better spots nearby,...

Really like this addition to the area and like that they have both Sushi and Chinese! I like the food overall - great quality and flavor. The reason I gave 4 stars for the food is only that they don't give very much rice at all - either lunch nor dinner. We ALWAYS have to ask for more rice and Sunday when my husband went by himself, he said that it was barely 1/4 cup - the portions were obviously WAAAAY off. He told the server he need more rice and the server wanted to charge him for it and my husband, who is VERY laid back, pointed out the proportion of rice to entree and they brought more at no charge. I had forgotten to write this review so this reminded me to do so and that they need to give more rice! Heck - it's an Asian restaurant - rice is the staple! :) I understand that you don't want waste, but hey, at least give a normal rice-bowl amount! The reason that I gave 4 starts for the service is that it takes a long time to get your food - no matter if the restaurant is busy or empty. Not sure why - must be short on cooks - but it takes long enough that it's annoying. But again, maybe they just can't hire enough folks like most companies nowadays. There's a new Chinese (and sushi) restaurant over in Sweet Apple Village which turned out to be an immediate upgrade for my lunch excursions over my normal spot, Chin Chin.

The interior of Oriental Cuisine was surprisingly modern, offering a clean and contemporary dining experience. It's bright and airy with plenty of booth seating. The only oddity was the piano track that I realized was on a continuous loop. The service was friendly and welcoming, though.

I went right to the lunch special and found something to try -- tofu and vegetables. I asked for it medium heat ... and uh, let's just say it was a touch hotter than expected. YMMV. It came out really fresh, though.

Usually when you get the combo special, the other things -- eggroll and soup -- feel like afterthoughts. It wasn't though. The soup was served as hot as lava. The eggroll tasted great.
