I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY ! I work at a private dental office and our doctor had ordered from work bc my co worker and I were starving and she was also craving sushi. When the delivery guy got there he immediately asked for a tip very rudely to begin with. If I would’ve paid I would’ve not given him a tip as he is literally not serving me and there was already a delivery fee included and he was very rude! I let him know that I could not give him a tip as my doctor was currently in the middle of a procedure and I could not tip or forge her signature. The guy then yelled at me asking me for his pen which he did not even give me and I was literally holding my pen that had my name on it! He then grabbed his receipt and stormed out of the office. My office manager and lead assistant were witnesses of this and said they would tell everyone they know not to order from here. The receptionist also called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager and they told her there wasn’t a manager at the restaurant. She was puzzled as we have never heard a manager not being present and was totally not acceptable. She asked if she could request a call back from the manager and she got hung up on! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY! I have also gone in person a few times and they are very rude when it comes to tipping! My managers daughter tipped and the guy asked if we didn’t like the food or him insisting on her giving him more tip... she was offended as she had given a very generous tip as she always does bc she’s a waitress herself! THIS PLACE IS...
Read moreReally great place! Really nice interior (though for some reason I always smell a moth ball smell walking in the door?), great bar selection, and the food is really good. They have both Chinese and Japanese which is super cool! The shrimp and asparagus is really, really tasty and the beef in the beef and broccoli is tender and cut super thin which is the way I like it! (and no fat nor gristle, just pure meat). Like their egg drop soup and the portion is a good size too! The only thing that I haven't liked so far is their spring rolls - the filling is WAY TOO MUSHY...:((( The cabbage is cooked to death. Actually, I have never had an egg roll nor a spring roll with such a mushy interior. I prefer them when the cabbage has a little crunch to it. They have a decent Pinot Grigio too and give a decent pour. One final thing: wish that they wouldn't use those cheap Styrofoam to-go containers as anything with sauce spills out into the to-go bag that they put it in because they don't seal well. Many places now are using the new plastic 'same shape as the Styrofoam ones' that snap closed - so much more durable and they don't leak. Since this place is so nice, I would think that they would upgrade to something like this. :) ) Definitely would come if in the area. (gave 4 stars for atmosphere due to moth ball smell and 4 stars for food for mushy spring roll filling since you get these with the Chinese...
Read moreChin chin used to be GOAT status of fast affordable and delicious Chinese food, back in the day, 90’s-2000’s. I’m referring specifically to the one that used to be in midtown. The other two extensions, one in west midtown off Howell mill ( recently closed) and the one in Roswell (still open) I think tries to reclaim their former glory status but for some odd reason just not able to. The faux meat dishes ? Clearly frozen balls of gluten deep fried and covered in cloyingly sweet syrup no other flavors.., the walnut shrimp? Same thing.. any thing that says lightly battered won’t be.. If you are looking for Chinese food, reasonably priced, large portions and maybe they execute well on some items ( chicken dishes) then it’s a good deal, just not what it used to be. Sometimes I think restaurants fail because they offer these huge menus with a variety of items ( Thai , sushi , Japanese options) and in the end just being the master of none. For chin chin I hope they Just hunker down , go back to their roots, and execute on the items that you do well, your original claim to fame. I hope they last. They used to...
