Rhea's 2 — Restaurant in Roswell

Normally I stop by the Woodstock Rd location, however because of the convenience of the location to where I was working I decided to stop by this location. This afforded me the opportunity to meet Jimmy. I must say I am less than impressed. Upon entering I order my usual, a bacon cheeseburger and an order of fries with a sweet tea. A fairly basic order. I than stepped outside so as to conduct business on my phone without disturbing any of the other patrons. This was my first mistake. When I came back in my food was ready and I paid. I was told my total was 10 dollars and some change. I felt like this was a bit high but it had been a while since I had been to rhea so I equated it to inflation. I was offered no receipt, not even a copy to sign. I left happy and hungry and ready to eat. That was when the chaos started. On my way back to the office I took a drink of my tea. It was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like the urn has NEVER been cleaned. Making bad sweet tea is a sin in the south. I pitched it as soon as I walked through the door. No worries I still had a burger and fries to eat. Or so I thought. The fries were half cold half under cooked. The burger wasn’t even what I ordered. It was a double cheeseburger on toast. I now understand why it cost so much. That wasn’t even the worst of it. Upon getting home I realized my card had been charged for 14 dollars even instead of the 10 dollars and change that I was told. That ladies and gentlemen is called theft. I have since disputed the charges with my bank and have contacted the BBB. My family and I will never return here. I wouldn't say that Rhea's has the best burgers that I've ever eaten, but they have the best burgers that I've had in memory.  Srsly, it's nothing fancy--matter o' fact, you could call it spartan--but these burgers point and laugh at the burgers slung at highfalutin joints that charge twice as much.  There is no comparison.

I see that some folks ding Rhea's because the fries aren't "real" or whatever.  Whatever, indeed.  For frozen crinkle-cut fries, they're done just fine.  I go to eat the burgers.

I've only ever had chili cheese dogs (better than the V) and the Rhea's Special on Tejas Toast.  I've wanted to try other items, but when you're hungry, you stick with what you know will fill the void.

Fresh and crisp veggies (except for the tomatoes, which are sufficiently ripe and fresh, but not crispy), the bread is fresh, and everything that is supposed to be hot, is.  The drink refill routine is strange, as the fountain drink machine is right there, but it seems that you need to wait for the staff to come around and refill it for you.  The nice lady switched my cup for somebody else's last time because of the confusing manner in which the cups are collected and delivered.

Outstanding burger value and simply outstanding burgers, period.  When I am in Roswell, I always hanker for Rhea's.  You should try it out, if...

Hands down the best burger in GA, I have been going here since I was a teenager and still just as good. Jimmy's never changed the recipe or ingredients. Been to many burger joints and this one takes the cake but you have to get Jimmy's special. Comes with Texas Toast, 2 patties and cheese, add bacon if you want.the Texas toast is actually toasted and much better than the bun, and it's not super thick Texas toast either which is a big deal for me. I don't like thick Texas toast but its still thicker than a slice of bread. Comes with all the toppings(if you want them) no fancy toppings, I can't eat raw onions often bc of my stomach but their onions are always easy on my stomach for some reason, pickles aren't too pickley(dill) shredded lettuce and American cheese mmmm. Certainly a hole in the wall but I'm telling you, you won't be easily disappointed coming here for burgers, fries and hot dogs.
