Great little "fast food" place for Greek/Mediterranean food! Stopped here for a bite after spending the day with a friend, wandering around a large antique mall. We both were tired and a little bit grungy. We didn't want to go someplace "fancy", but didn't want your typical fast food either. My friend is also gluten sensitive, so we needed a place that would accommodate that as well. After a Google search of the area, we decided to try The Great Greek. We were not disappointed. It's a small, clean, and bright place. My friend had the Great Greek Rice Bowl with chicken, I had the Great Greek Gyro with Lamb & Beef, and we shared an order of Hummus with Pita Bread. NO complaints about ANYTHING! The gyros reminded me of the ones I ate back in the NY diners I used to frequent and which, IMHO, have Greek food that cannot be beat. They are also VERY generous with the gyros meat. I could only eat 1/2 of it and took the rest home for lunch the next day. The fries that came with the gyros were tasty and not greasy at all, which is always nice. My friend enjoyed her Rice Bowl and had no leftovers to take home. We both make our own hummus from scratch and we both agreed that this hummus was just as delicious as any we've made. The pitas were warm and tasty enough that she was willing to eat a couple in spite of her sensitivity. Prices were very reasonable as well, especially considering the food quality. I've eaten at other, more expensive, Mediterranean places that served lesser quality entrees. The only thing we'd change would be the chairs - they are not the most comfortable. But the food was worth it and we both agreed we'd be back, especially since they are located down the road from...

3 times ordering to-go
First time, food is poorly cooked, food was also missing, said the order was ready when it wasn’t. (Place had just opened so extended some grace)
Second time, received multiple texts saying “your food is ready” but when I show up, it still takes 15 minutes
3rd time, I wait until I get the text saying my order is ready before heading over to only show up and find out “we don’t have that item today” and what can we substitute it for? And now they still need to make that entire entree. It’s not like the Cashier was too busy to contact us to let us know. I’ve had a ton of places call when something was out of stock before
Don’t bother, the food is only okay, the prices aren’t competitive, and the service is atrocious.
The bad service isn’t just a me issue. They had 3 other people waiting and we all had similar issues. Told the food was ready when they hadn’t even started it yet.
I shouldn’t be leaving with my food 25 minutes after you said...
Read moreJust tried a couple things so far. Tsazkiki is excellent - and at $6.99 including an abundance of pita and a generous amount of Tsazkiki was a great deal. Rice pudding is decent, as well as the baklava ice cream. Still working out the kinks and learning what the demand might be so be patient - they've been open less than a week, for crying out loud.
UPDATE: I've tried a few more things since my first visit. The portions are quite generous, which is good, given that the prices are closer to a full-service restuarant. Lamb souvlaki was very flavorful, and, for the most part, tender and juicy. LOTS of rice. Seriously, unless you're super hungry, one of those souvlaki plates could serve 2. Gyro was overstuffed, which is messy, but a great value. The gyro meat was very good and tender.
Service: the staff is still learning. Things that are included with an entree, like dressing for a salad, or tszaziki, are frequently forgotten and you have to ask. But they're...
