Inefficient and a complete train wreck!! On June 13th 2025, I sat in the drive thru for 49 min and completely turned my truck off 3 times waiting for over 10 min each time. The car behind me went through the cones and left. When I got to the window, they said they did not have my name and that I did not order (I ordered the OG meal with seasoned fries and a choc shake). I literally just stared at her and I said â Do you really think I sat in line for over 45 min and did not order?â. She not only could not ring me up but had to get a manager. I was then told to go to a parking spot and they eventually came out and took my order and so I waited another 10 min in my truck for food ($16 and way over priced). I live less than a mile away and when I got home, the OG had jalapeños all through out it and the bread was so soggy from an overload of sauce (Appears to be like thousand island), that my fingers went through it like soggy bread dipped in water. The fries are phenomenal but I will not be back. My opinion is that I would rather drive to Jew Boy burgers on Airport Blvd than experience that again.
While sitting in the parking spot, I watched a truck and another car leave in reverse out of the drive thruđ
In addition, the location is near an intersection that is already super busy so hard to get into the parking lot. This place needs to be a stand alone because there is a shopping center that is unoccupied at the moment and it is going to be a complete mess when the shops become occupied.
Also, I went to leave this review but the reviews had been âdisabled for this locationâ. Funny how it is working today. The experience was so bad, I waited until they enabled the reviews again to post this. I did not forget this experience!!!
Sorry but it was not in opening weeks! You had training weeks prior to a soft opening and I waited nearly a month after that to try it. (I live down the street) but nice play on words to make people think it was because you just openedđ€Ł. In addition, they had me contact their âMarketingâ and apparently did not realize they attached their email chain amongst themselves to me, haha
They offered me a complimentary meal to come back and try it again and I never received that either....
Read moreAfter a chance meeting with Marina, I was convinced to give Buddy Burger a try! I lived down the street from the Cameron Rd location for years but never went. Im sad to announce that I was missing out!
With a gluten restriction, burgers are one of the few things I can safely get while out and about while on the road. This restriction has lead to me really savoring the minor details when it comes to what makes a burger a good burger
Philipe at the front counter was welcoming and allowed me the opportunity to review the menu for a short time before attempting to re-engage. His people skills seem to be refined here and he is good at reading customers pacing, demonstrated not just with me but with guests after me
When I inquired about the fries, he was quick to verify with his lead John Michael. They both returned and let me know that the fries were not an option, but spent the time asking follow up questions to ensure my experience eating at their establishment.
This was enough for me to choose dine in instead of dine out! Im thankful I did. The overall presentation and theme of the restaurant was effective, clean, concise and surprisingly alluring. I love the design choices used for their merchandise and wouldnt mind rocking them one day!
The speed of food was efficient, John Michael's announcement of food readiness delivery over the intercom was fun and engaging, and the vocal team work behind the kitchen was indicative of a smooth running ship. How often do you get to walk into a fast good restaurant and walk away feeling across the board wowed with your experience?
No kids present at the time of my lunch, but I can imagine that a family would enjoy their experience with John Michael and Philipe running point on the front counter. Their personalities and customer facing prescence was fun and enticing. I wanted to stay and be tended to as a guest, and that says a lot in the hustling bustling world of today
I took an unexpected pause in my day for an unplanned lunch at a new restaurant in a town I never frequent, and I walked away impressed enough to still be on pause, in the parking lot writing this out. It was a great experience and I hope others get the opportunity to enjoy what I did today...
Read moreWe really like the flavor of the Buddyâs cheeseburgers, but the drive thru service desperately needs to be streamlined. On 06/13 and on previous trips to this Round Rock location, weâve had to repeat our order at least three times, even though we were only ordering 2 sandwiches. I ordered my double cheeseburger with just pickles and onions. NO Lettuce, NO tomatoes, NO sauce. My wife ordered her single cheeseburger with only tomato and onion, NO LETTUCE and NO sauce. These simple instructions appear to be difficult for their staff, as we continue to get sauce but no onions on just about every sandwich we order. My previous order several days earlier ended up having NO ONION but did have sauce. That time I didnât discover the blunder until I got home.
So yesterday (06/13/2025) we ordered the above burgers. After repeating our order three times, we drove around to the pickup window and when we were asked for the name on our order, they didn't have it. They had no order for us and wanted us to repeat our order again. After we did that, they found our order under Bridgett. How can someone get Bridgett out of Richard?
The woman at the window apologized and said their headsets didnât work very well, plus it was noisy inside with all the equipment running. We received our order (for Bridgett), then moved to a parking spot, as I wanted to double-check our order. Sure enough, even though BOTH burgers said NO SAUCE on the ticket, we had sauce anyway on my wifeâs burger. At that point my wife went inside to ask for a manager and they remade our order.
It appears we will always have to check each burger before we leave the Buddyâs parking lot, but we shouldnât have to be doing this. Canât Buddyâs set some procedures in place so this doesnât keep happening? In reading some of the other negative reviews online, I see weâre not the only ones who believe small orders require way too much explanation for such a simple order, then finding out itâs wrong anyway. The Buddyâs drive-thru ordering process needs to be streamlined. Hopefully this will get resolved at some point in the...
