LATEST/UPDATED REVIEW- visited again last week and had two bad experiences. We went to the restaurant again on the following Saturday at around 9:30 pm and they refused service saying they are closed, even though the timings on Google and their own door say itâs open till 11 pm. Fine, we came back next day (Sunday) with 2 of our friends. We ordered 3 Hyd chicken dum biryanis. The waitress says she canât serve us the appropriate amount of meat (3 pieces) for all 3 biryanis, and she gave us an extra piece of meat during the previous visit âjust because we were adamant about it last timeâ. We pay $20 + tip for a single chicken dum biryani for two tiny pieces of meat and even the rice quantity has been drastically reduced. Please see Rock n Grill, Shubham Chettinad and other restaurants pricing, quantity and rice to meat proportions. This was really arrogant AND misleading behavior by both owner (who promised us the first time that this wonât happen again if we go back) and the waitress. Sorry, but this restaurant is going to close down soon with the way itâs being run. We were going to be regulars and even brought our friends (already came thrice in a span of 2 weeks), but you lost us with this misleading and arrogant behavior. We will not be returning and neither will our friends.
(Old review below) The chicken biryani and chicken pakora were outstanding! It was clear that the dishes were freshly made. Itâs been a long time since I enjoyed chicken biryani so much in an Indian restaurant. As another reviewer mentioned, there was no unnecessary spice, just authentic Hyderabad flavorful biryani! The quality of salan and raita was also 10/10. Seems like chicken pakora is their specialty, never had such a good quality chicken pakora elsewhere in US. Also love their chili chicken which we tried during a previous visit. Had some issues last time, but they were addressed during this visit. Will return and will definitely...
Read moreTo Go Order /Genreally over priced for quality of food - Chicken tikka Masala and chicken korma. We took about 4 bites and threw the rest away. Not going back.
Cons â˘Walked in 1 woman on phone another just stared at me like sheâs mad I walked in. No greeting. â˘Food has same issue as rock n roll grill & every Indian restaurant in round rock (made for people who grew up in India). Mild is too spicy does. Itâs not creamy enough like London/American Indian food. The masala is too dark and over cooked for American taste. â˘Naan is so bland - like they forgot salt â˘Rice, dishes or both are have way too much cardamom (itâs not rice pudding). â˘Way too much grease used in the dishs as well (cream costs more). â˘Itâs like they just copied rock n roll recipes because they taste the same. â˘To go portion is also small by about 2/3 ounces. â˘No dedicated parking spaces
Pros â˘When I was finally greeted woman was very sweet and nice â˘Excellent location right on Old Settlers â˘Reaurtant is clean, neat and organized â˘Order was made correctly and on time
Recommendation: Travel to Sugarland TX to Naseeb Indian restaurant and try their food. Itâs excellent along with many others in Houston.
You can still offer your receipts but the fact is if you offer London or Americanized versions of the food you would have way more customers as your place was almost empty on a Saturday before Christmas.
Overall the foods is NOT good (for us). Please give them a chance and go try it. I suspect that we like ânorthâ Indian food more but round rock doesnât have one which would be massively successful. Bayleaf Indian restaurant near Round Rock is always over capacity as the only North Indian option. We will have to just go there as this was very...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic dining experience at Dwaraka Bawarchi! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance is inviting and beautifully decorated, perfect for both family gatherings and romantic dinners.
Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish we ordered was a burst of flavor and authenticity. The biryani was aromatic and perfectly cooked, with tender pieces of meat that just melted in your mouth. The paneer tikka was grilled to perfection, and the spices were spot on. I also highly recommend their buttery naan â it paired wonderfully with the rich and creamy butter chicken.
The service was impeccable; our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. We never felt rushed, and they made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
To top it all off, the desserts were the icing on the cake! The gulab jamun was simply divine, a sweet ending to a remarkable meal.
Overall, Dwaraka Bawarchi exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu. Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Indian...
