Updated Review: I previously left a review for this establishment after visiting a few months ago. Since then, the restaurant closed for several months for renovations. While the building itself does look nicer, unfortunately, the quality of customer service and food has not improved. If anything, the food tastes even more bland than it did before.
I decided to give them another chance, hoping the remodel also brought positive changes to management and service. Sadly, that was not the case.
This time, I placed an order through their app, which provided a specific pick-up time. I arrived about 5–10 minutes after that time, yet when I got to the drive-thru window, the staff member said she had no record of my order. When I explained what my app showed and the pick-up time, she simply replied, “I don’t have it,” with an unhelpful attitude and no apology for the inconvenience. She then told me to “come back in a few minutes,” without offering any real solution or explanation.
At this point, I would not recommend ordering online—or dining here at all. Not much has changed. The same poor customer service, and now, even less flavorful food. Very disappointing.
I recently had an unsatisfactory experience at this establishment. I ordered takeout through the drive-through, and the staff member who handed me my food wished me a great day. However, after driving away, I realized part of my order was missing.
When I returned to the drive-through and explained the issue, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Instead of an apology, the staff member responded with, “Well, you drove off” or “Why did you drive off then?” This response caught me off guard, and I regretfully matched her attitude. I understand that I should have remained calm and avoided calling her a name I’m not proud of.
I called the store to speak with the manager and even apologized for my reaction, but I did not appreciate the disrespect from the staff. Unfortunately, the manager chose to argue with me rather than address the issue with professionalism and customer service.
Management should note that if employees display a poor attitude, it is likely to be mirrored by customers. Effective training and leading by example are crucial to avoid such situations. Read moreReview update March 2023 from initial review July 2021: Under all-new management and crew. The atmosphere and environment are notably changed, including improved customer interaction and service, store being open when it’s supposed to be, improved food quality, as well as general restaurant cleanliness; and even the store’s exterior appearance is slowly beginning to improve. The newly painted parking lines alone made a bigger impact on the outside appearance in general than one would expect. Looking forward to bigger and better things coming from this BK!
Initial Review from July 2021: Hours listed as open until 11pm, saw one vehicle appear to go through drive-thru (while waiting at the light) from the speaker to the window and then eventually depart. A second vehicle arrived at the speaker for drive-thru as I was pulling into the lot (this was approximately 10:05pm). After maybe 10 or so minutes, they proceeded through the drive-thru line and I approached the speaker to find the screen missing and an unusual square affixed next to the post for the screen that was glowing red. I was on a time limit, checked Google Maps to confirm their hours hadn’t been reduced as a result of COVID (or had at least resumed normal hours) and found that indeed, BK was supposed to be open until 2300hrs. It was now 10:25, so I called the store and was promptly answered by a female employee. I asked if their drive-thru was currently open, she simply responded “no, it is not,” I thanked her for her time, hung up and left, upset that I’d risked not being able to access my reserved lake cabin due to gate closure at 11pm only to still be hungry and craving a whopper w/ cheese and BK fries (something I haven’t treated myself to in nearly two years). Read more1045 pm went to your location In Roxboro NC, no one answered the drive thru..I drove to the window and a large black woman with braids came to the window. I asked was the speaker broke she said no we closed. I showed her on my phone where the website for this particular store is open until 11pm. She said well its 10 minutes till and we are closed. I said this is horrible service. This is not the first time I have come to this location before closing and been turned away. I understand 11pm is closing. But I only wanted to order a drink and I was refused service. If your store is going to stop serving at 1045 then close at 1045 not 11pm. I wasn't asking for anything to out of the ordinary just a large dr pepper. This is the 2nd time at this location I have been refused service because your employees think closing time is 15 or 20 minutes like the previous time. If your employees don't want to work they need to be terminated. Clearly you are paying then to work until 11pm or even after for clean up. Why is it that your customers can't get service at 1045 pm if your hours of operation end at 11pm.
