Honestly I rarely (if ever) leave reviews and I honestly hate to leave a bad review here since I remember as a kid my mom always took me here for lunch on my birthday and the food a sweet tea was always great... So after a few years of not going to stuarts for food I decided one day I would try to grab breakfast on the way in for work... Well it was about 5:15am and there was a loud truck sitting in a parking spot right next to the speaker, I heard a voice come in over the speaker but didnt quite understand what they had said so (thinking they were trying to take my order) I was trying to tell them what i wanted.. Well the person on the other end was very rude and said to me "I said can you please hold" after this happened I just left... So after a few days I went back for lunch and nobody ever even tried to take my order... I sat at the speaker for a few minutes but nothing.... So... I left.... this has happened twice now and I doubt I will be back any time soon... The only time I was able to even place an order the card machine was down and I didnt have any cash on hand... Once again I hate to leave a bad review and based off of the other reviews I have read this doesnt seem to be a common occurrence but for me 3 out of 4 times have just...
Read moreI despise leaving bad reviews as I am a usual judge it for yourself person. I do have to comment on the poor quality of food overall. We ate at the restaurant. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich i guess expecting a chicken breast sandwich but it wound up being a pressed "chicken " pattie. The bun, tomato and (old apearing) lettuce was ice cold which also made the pattie cold. My husband however did like his fried chicken wrap. The fries are the big fat ones which were cold, some frozen-ish still. The little cup of chicken noodle soup was pretty good, obviously from a can though given the chunks of chicken appearing quite square like the can kind. I brought the chicken pattie home for the dogs. I did not complain at the store as I was not feeling up to it after a day of doctors office visits.
The building appears to have never been updated. Junky walkway, the outside of the building also has seen lots of time, and the seats indoors were very old and worn/torn. The staff were all very nice despite their work conditions. Can't praise them enough. We were there around noon, we won't...
Read moreStuart's used to be my favorite fast food restaurant to go to here in Roxboro. Since they changed the hours to closing at 5 during the week and on Saturday [which makes 0 sense, close early so your employees "can enjoy the sunshine"? (their words, not mine)], the service has also gone down tremendously. The last straw for me was last week when I came through the drive thru for my daughter and I. Very simple order. Fried chicken sandwich with cheese combo, plain hotdog combo. There were 2 cars in front of us when we ordered. We waited approximately 10 minutes before we got to the window. Upon arrival at the window, I was asked to pull up (assuming my order wasn't ready). That wasn't an issue. The issue is I then waited an additional 12 minutes, only for every car behind me (4) to be served immediately and for me to then have to reverse my car back to the window to receive my order. Did not receive any type of apology for the ridiculously long wait, and the manager was standing at the window. Again, said NOTHING. I have been going to Stuart's for 20 years or better. I won't...
