Let me start by saying disgusting amd im not talking about just the food. My wife and I walked in this McDonald's that we have been to a few time all with ok ish experience witch stems from little thing like missing a fry or your cup but this time was down right BS.. we placed our order at the little station witch looked like it hasn't been wiped down for days. After placing the order my wife used the restroom witch had no soap or toilet paper whatsoever. Everything inside this location was dirty from the windows to the tables and talk about flys they were everywhere.... when we get called for our order I walk up to get it no surprise is had to ask for my drink and thats when things got worse. I took the food to my wife walked over to fill the drink and everything was out out except the the water that came out dirty with a brown look to it.. I think when to speak to the manager. I told her the issue and while I was there I asked for ketchup her response to the drink station and ketchup was they were out. Well at that point i was over everything I went back to eat my food. The frys looked and tasted like they had been sitting out all day soggy amd cold. I went back to speak with the manager. This so called manager said the lobby isn't her issue it's another managers responsibility side please I would like to speak to both out you then. She went and got the other manager. Both of them had thw same excuses that they were understaffed even though there was atleast 15 employees there and 4 of them just talking in a circle. I asked why it was so hard to atleat wipe down the tables amd sweep the floor so customers could site and eat and ome manager response was yes there is 15 employees but some need to end their shift. I had to respond with oh great well at least have one of them put toilet paper and soap in the restroom also a side note if there is no soap then what are those employees washing there hands with before touching your food 🤔 down right disgusting west haven should think twice about having this type of restaurant in this city amd McDonald's should be down...
Read moreI wanted to an additional update to this review, as the below noted prior review was left years in the past. I decided to again test my luck with this McDonald's.
Additional Review: Here is a troubling experience at this McDonald's location on August 2, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM. The operational disarray and poor service were shocking.
I initially attempted to use the drive-thru, where the person ahead of me waited over 25 minutes without their order being taken. I then decided to leave the line and placed a curbside pickup order through the app.
The app later notified me that my order had been picked up, which was incorrect (9:40PM) . Upon entering the restaurant to inquire about my order, I found a chaotic scene. There were at least 25 customers waiting for their food, with several people visibly frustrated and complaining of waiting over an hour. Staff appeared overwhelmed, and my attempt to get an update on my order was met with an unhelpful "we are busy, hold on."
The drive-thru line was wrapped around the building, customers were leaving the store without their food, and the overall environment was tense and disorganized. This level of operational failure on a Saturday night is unacceptable. Management needs to urgently address staffing and training issues to prevent such a complete breakdown in service.
Prior Review: What can I say that’s different from the rest of the reviews. If you want to waste your money well, go right ahead. You probably haven’t seen these horrid reviews left on Google. I ordered food, delivery, which I have done a few times from the Clinton location. Food always come hot and tasty. This location however is trash. Food came old, hard, and disgusting. Almost like they sat out all day. I paid $25.00 for our dinner with free delivery. I called McDonald’s delivery and order support to get told, I was allowed a refund of $6.24. Wasted money...
Read moreA tale of two orders: or, viva la revolución
I arrived around 2 AM on 9 July 2022 with intentions to place my order: one Big Mac, a very simple request. At the menu, the operator informed me that due to short staffing, only DoorDash orders were being fulfilled. I found this odd and somewhat annoying as I was the only person in the queue and there was not a car in sight.
It occurred to me to attempt to gently game the system. Perhaps showing up with an online order would allow me my precious burger. I circled the restaurant, parked to order in the app, and came back with a code in hand (well, upon my phone) for an order with one Big Mac. But it was in vain; again I was denied. And this time, adding insult to injury, staff told me their system was down and I would need to wait 45 minutes before receiving my order. At an empty restaurant, no less — the rage boiled within me! Would that I could channel that red-hot energy into my career. I would hire my own fleet of 24-hour burger chefs.
NOW, this review and rating is not meant to be a reflection on the capacity of the staff at this McDonald’s location! Being a former food service worker myself, I know it is a grueling and soul-sucking profession. No no, the fault in this situation rests squarely upon the shoulders of the franchisees overseeing this location. They should be offering better wages and benefits to entice more staff to sign on.
There is no shortage of labor, there is only a shortage of respect for the working class. I give the valiant workers here five stars. But I give the franchise owners making poor use of their capital and human assets one star — in fact I would give them...
