I had a terrible day on 9/27/24. Everything went wrong from beginning to end. From personal life to work life. I finally got some time to relax and calm down for the day, so I asked my family if they’d like to go to Dairy Queen because it had been a tough day for all of us. We walked in to two customers ahead of us, decided what we wanted and placed our order. The woman who took the order and payment was lovely. As I waited for my 2 blizzards and 2 soft serves in a cup, I noticed the man making the order made the soft serve first. As it sat there melting, his coworker at the front asked him a question. He walked away to answer her question as I stand there watching my soft serve quickly melt. He then comes back to make the 2 blizzards, as my soft serve in a cup is melting away. Once he finishes, I ask him to replace 1 soft serve, just mine, not both because it was melting. My boyfriend did not care about his being melted, but I did. He proceeded to argue with me. That is a customer service no no. I’m a customer service manager. After the day I had, I lost it on him and let him know he needed to learn his job better. Make the things that take longest and melt slowest first. It’s common sense. I don’t normally argue with people, but he just pushed me over the edge. It took him 2.5 seconds to fill a new cup for me. Instead, he continued to argue with me the entire time causing an unnecessary scene in your establishment. The proper response would have been “I’m sorry, let me make you a new one really quick “. No argument, happy customer, 5 star review. It took me over an hour to calm down after this incident because all I wanted was some vanilla soft serve because I had a REALLY bad day. I generously gave 3 stars because, as I said, I’m a customer service manager and I understand the damage of a 1 star review. Moral of this story, teach the man who was working on the evening of 9/27 that you never know what someone is going through and be kind. I will not be back. I will just get my soft serve elsewhere. I’m sure you don’t care, but whatever. He ruined what was supposed to be a happy outing with my family with his...
Read moreI am a fan of Dairy Queen and often frequent this store. I was there yesterday, 5/16/20. I am writing this just to inform the owner. Not to put the store down. I just want the owner to be to be aware that although I dont know what safety practices have been required at this store, I felt what I needed to feel safe was not in place. There were two attendants, one kept his mask on the whole time he was providing service while the other server kept her mask below her chin. It was not covering her face at all. In addition, as we were waiting for our order to be completed, 2 seperate groups of 5-6 people came in at one time. None of them were wearing masks and they were not redirected to wait outside or to put a mask on. There were at least 14 people in the store at one time, and at least 10 of whom were not wearing a mask. It is a small space so I was very uncomfotable. I love this Dairy Queen. I have no complaints about the food or service in general, just the safety under our current situation. For others, this may not be an issue however for me, I feel the restrictions are too loose at this time to go there. I will revisit once we have moved through our current concerns. Hope this is tsken as constructive feedback, not harsh...
Read moreI went to order a coke and was told their ice machine was broken. Then I wanted to look at ice cream cakes but couldn’t as the cake fridge didn’t work. Order ice cream but couldn’t see all the toppings as it was hidden in a corner. Someone came in for something and the blender wasn’t working. I was there when it first opened and the floors were dirty. Who ever cleaned didn’t pull the chairs out to clean. The rugs are so old and dirty. The store is so I inviting. The paint is old and not appealing. Scuff marks on the wall and the walls were so dinged up. The windows and door hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. Very disappointed in taking my grandson there as everything looks like it’s from when that Dairy Queen first opened. It also looks like the manager and the owners don’t care about this store. A coat of paint can go a long way to making it look inviting. This store is the worst one I have ever been to. It’s a shame that the manager and the owners don’t care. I’ll be calling corporate as this is not up to Dairy Queen’s standards. I’ll be going to another Dairy Queen...
