We ate here 3 times in a week and a half. My wife and I stay at a campground that is a 5 minute walk from The Ranchers, and for the last 4 years we have gone there on our anniversary. We had 3 friends with us this year, so 5 in total. My wife had the sirloin, but wasn't overly fond of it. The 3 of us guys all had the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I had 3 problems with the dinner menu: 1. There were no daily specials. 2 years ago we were with another couple, and he and I both had the braised short ribs, which were amazing. They haven't had a daily chef's special since. 2. That ribeye was 40 bucks! I can buy a 3-pack of ribeyes from costco for that price and grill them just as well (I've been grilling for 50 years). 3. Prime rib was nowhere to be found on the menu. In fact, I have seen it since the 1st time we visited in 2020. Anyway, 4 drinks in the lounge prior to dinner set me back $80. The bill was $56, and I gave the bartender 4 20s, assuming I would get back some change. He didn't even offer, just saying thanks and keeping the 80 bucks. He did send out a cheesecake to celebrate our anniversary though, so I figured I had paid for it and didn't say anything. Dinner for 2 was $85.64 after tax, and before tip. My wife and I had lunch there twice. She ordered French Onion Soup and Brussels sprouts the 1st time, and I ordered the crab cakes, which were very good. I was told they make a really good burger there, so we tried it the next time we came in. Following is my review of the green chile cheeseburger... I was wondering how a Wagyu beef burger could be so inexpensive (comparatively speaking), and now I know… it would be a stretch to call this a 1/4 lb. patty (see the photo). It was tiny. But, it did taste good, although not great. There was also a very tiny piece of cheddar cheese, even smaller than the patty. Absolutely pathetic. At least it was melted. That said, I couldn't even taste it. I wouldn't have known it was there if I hadn't removed the top bun to look at it. The bun was basic, but toasted. It held up well, but then again, my medium-well burger was not juicy. It wasn't pink at all, which is to be expected; but I would think a good burger would still be juicy. The green chile was fresh roasted, was of medium heat, and had good flavor. Lettuce, pickle, tomato, and red onion were on the bottom bun. Again, I had to remove it to keep the tiny patty on the small bun. The fries were most likely from frozen, but came out very hot, and were seasoned nicely. The waitress was very nice, but the food took a long time to come out... definitely not her fault though. Given the fact that this is a steakhouse, I would have expected higher quality ingredients; but that was not the case with the bun and the fries. Also, I would be happy to pay a little more for a burger that is larger than a Micky D's quarter pounder, as well as cheese and green chile to cover the patty.

As a James Beard awarded Chef & Restaurant owner of 40 years in South Carolina, I was Impressed. Formal yet Casual. I ordered Crab Cakes as an app. It was a Meal! Full of Crab with very little filler. The Remoulade was Fantastic! Not the typical Horseradish type. More sweet citrus. Sorry no pic, tore into it too fast! We ordered the Catfish, nightly special Lamb Chops & Wagyu Ribeye. Catfish was not the typical filet. They took a Large filet and cut it into strips/fingers. Cooked to perfection! Lamb was a beautiful MidRare and tender, Wagyu Steak was also cooked to a Perfect MidRare. Trust me, American/Australian/Japanese Wagyu all cook differently. Wagyu is higher in fat and contains less moister than Angus. It also melts at a lower temp. This was Australian Wagyu(Sir Harry's??) and was perfect. Service was professional, polite and made us feel welcome. Price is fair for the Quality of the ingredients. For those that say this place is pricey....It is what it is. 2 apps, 3 entrees, 4 cocktails, $175 is Reasonable. I've paid $200 for an A-5 Japanese Wagyu Ribeye.

It was me and my wife’s first time, my birthday as well.

Everything started off great. But ended very hostile.

Fully aware that the restaurant closes at 9pm, we arrived at 8:20pm and waited quite some time to finally get served. Finally our waiter (forgot her name but told us she was a manager) arrived and we asked when is last call to order anything and she said we can still order after 9pm, no problem.

Everything was good until towards the near end when my wife politely asked for a 2nd round of wine. Our waiter then says “i asked if you wanted wine and you said no”. First off thats a disrespectful way to respond to a guest and secondly if a guest wants something else the correct response is yes, at least, as a server

Then when our server returns without my wife’s wine, we politely reminded her we would like the 2nd round in which she responds “i already brought you your wine, i am sure of it”….There’s no need for us to try and get free stuff besides a birthday complimentary. We were there to spend money, not to have our waiter argue us about her bringing our order.

To make matters worse, she said “fine I’ll bring it” and left nodding her head and annoyed by our request

I asked for our tab and paid it.

No apologies were given to us for the tension and mistreatment of the guest.

Worst of all, less than 10min passed after paying our tab and the lights were cut off on us.

We did not feel welcomed and were not wished a good night and thank you.

This is a complete disrespect and horrible reputation for the restaurant and this server should be disciplined or face consequences for this irresponsibility.

I was excited trying out this new place but at the end, i regretted leaving any tip.

The server was a blonde woman with a big tattoo on her chest (inappropriately exposed for a restaurant of this quality). P.s. the server slurred her words a bit and a bit delayed in her speech, possibly...

If you're craving a delicious steak dinner, stay away from this restaurant . Trust me, you don't want to waste your time and money on this place.

. My family and I decided to try out this restaurant. We were excited and hungry, but unfortunately, our experience turned out to be a huge disappointment.

First of all, the steaks were not cooked as we requested. We specifically asked for 2 medium-well and one well done but what we got was nothing close to that. The steaks were under cooked and lacked any taste whatsoever. To top it off, the steaks were cold. It was like chewing on a piece of rubber, not the juicy and flavorful steak we were expecting.

To make matters worse, we had to wait for an hour and 15 minutes for our steaks to arrive. Can you believe it? We were starving by the time they finally showed up, only to be let down by their poor quality and the restraint wasn’t busy with several empty tables. . The potatoes were a disaster. They were hard and burnt, completely inedible. It felt like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours before being served to us.

But what really pushed us over the edge was the customer service. Initially the sever wasn’t bad, but after waiting over an hour and seeing our food wasn’t acceptable, we thought they would make it right. We voiced our concerns about the steaks and the sides, hoping for some sort of resolution . Instead, all we got was a half-hearted apology and a measly six dollar credit. That's just insulting.

We were so fed up with the poor service that we immediately paid our bill and decided to walk out. We couldn't bear to spend another minute in that place.

Take my advice and steer clear of this restaurant. It's not worth your time or your taste buds. If you're craving a satisfying meal, go to a fast food restaurant instead. Trust me, you'll get better quality and...
