Rupert Idaho Pizza Hut Yesterday the manager Eliza was training another new manager trainee. How, I don’t know as the trainee was just standing there the entire 40 minutes.
So we got there about 645pm. No one was out front to greet us. We waited, Eliza came out finally and asked for us to have patients as they were training. About 5 minutes later they finally emerged to take our order. The entire time, no one representing Pizza Hut could be seen. We decided to go ahead and dine in, so we have our order, paid and then took a seat at the tables. Our boys were watching the order on their progress monitor that Pizza Hut has at the entrance and came and told us when the order said it was ready 20 minutes after ordering. But wait...still no Pizza and no one around except the trainee standing there by herself behind the counter.
Another 5 minutes passed and we got up and asked the trainee (only visible worker) where our pizza might be? She didn’t have a clue, but she did look at the boxed pizzas in the warmer - still no pizza or cheesy-breadsticks for us. There was a pizza that slid on the table as it exited the pizza oven that was still just sitting there waiting for a worker to do something with it. Another 5 minutes passed and now my wife and I are both asking where our pizza and cheese breadsticks are. Still nothing. Now the pizzas in the warmer and at the pizza oven exit table are still sitting there. Finally Eliza pops up and we ask her what is going on. She looks at us and ignores us. My wife asks if she could look into it? Nothing- ignored. Again she is asked and she said she was busy and had things to do. Amazing the attitude from the manager- she has no business being employed there. Eliza keeps looking down so she doesn’t have to look at us and subsequently talk to her waiting and already paid customers. She finally walks back and reemerges with our pizza and breadsticks in boxes- they were sitting in the pizza warmer for over 10 minutes at that point but the trainee couldn’t even figure that out. I would imagine that a manager trainee should have some sort of motivation but that looks like we all have to look forward to regarding the future service at Pizza Hut.
As we are handed the boxed pizza and sticks without even a word from the staff, my wife replies “wow, you aren’t even going to apologize”? Nothing but with her head bowed, you could see the manager - Eliza smirking as if the whole thing is funny, kinda like she is thinking what are you gonna do about it.
Infuriating! Just because we are a smaller community doesn’t mean that we have to put up with below substandard customer service and attitude because there are a lack of options.
There needs to be a complete change of management and serious upgrades to customer service.
So during all the ignoring of customers, attitudes, turning and walking away from customers while they are asking questions, etc.; Eliza said back to my wife’s second request for an apology that she did not give her a chance. Well, she had many chances but instead just kept digging in her heels.
There are many good businesses in our community that earn and deserve our hard earned money and we should not be wasting it on the Rupert Idaho Pizza Hut. Since Eliza doesn’t care about her customers or her job, we handed her back the boxed pizzas and breadsticks, took a refund on the food and walked out.
Remember, we were waiting at the counter by 6:45pm. We finally had our order taken at the counter about 6:54 and were getting a...
Read moreFood was good but I ordered it for takeout because Delivery always takes a absolutely absurd amount of time and when I showed up my food had just been placed in the oven which I didn't understand because I arrived 10 minutes later than when they said it would be ready. Once the pizza's finally came out of the oven the gentleman who was working the register argued with me saying that I hadn't paid yet. I had paid online when I placed the order and I couldn't pay again or show my card because I had just run out of my house because I was late and of course I forgot my wallet. Either way it took 26 minutes of arguments with my pizzas sitting on the counter getting cold before he would listen and get a manager. She walked out pressed one button and I was done and headed home. This was a unusual situation they are...
Read moreWhen I first looked at this place having 3 star reviews I thought that doesn’t sound like any Pizza Hut I know. I have eaten here about 3 times and everything was good the other time, but it takes 1 time being gross to turn you off to a place. The pizza we got the other day tasted fine in general, but we soon noticed something odd about our pizza that turned us off to it. On the pizza itself near where the crust is there were splotches of green pulp like sauce. It was some sort of garlic sauce that was thrown in in a last second effort. It was just not appealing to me. It wasn’t poison, but just threw off the visual appeal of the pizza. I was unable to finish it because it looked so gross. This place has potential but some of the workers just don’t understand that visual appeal is important...
