Ace Hardware — Local services in Rupert

Since my last review a year ago, Ace has really stepped it up. They have hired a new manager who is kicking the gears to a higher speed, better running store and the employees are helpful and the newer employees are becoming more knowledgeable. New products are being introduced and the store is improving overall. Although no store is perfect, I’ll give them 5 stars as to their service, quality, overall knowledge base, and how far they have improved since last year (summer of 2017). I hope that the new manager can keep up the good work and improvements

(Summer 2017 - Formerly a 2 Stars rating) .......The store was great based upon the friendliness and knowledge of the employees. Unfortunately over this summer, many of the knowledgeable and helpful employees are missing for one reason or another. I used to like going into Ace Hardware but now I find it a burden to go in there and find anyone who has the knowledge that I'm looking for. It seems like they have hired many new and younger employees but they don't yet have the experience and some are too busy talking to friends to help.

It is unfortunate as this stores and its employees used to create a family type feeling to it and now I might just go elsewhere. I hope the atmosphere changes back but not to optimistic...

This is a nice hardware store. Great service friendly employees who are not pushy but always will to help. I shop here a lot it's close to home and they have lots of name brand items to choose from. For the most part the prices are competitive with other stores around the area but I don't have to drive several miles to get the same thing. When you figure in time driving, looking plus gas and wear on your vehicle I don't think you are going to save that much. Unless you are buying in large quantities. I like the way it is set up so things are easy to find so you can get what you want and go. No spending lots of time looking for items or someone to help you. Store do that so you will spend more at Ace they respect that your time is valuable to you and probably the job you are working on. So they make things easier anyway they can because in a small town if you can make fast yet friendly word will get around and you stay in business. Plus another nice thing is their hours they open early and stay open later than other like businesses and that can make it all worthwhile to know you can...

Their advertising slogan, "Ace is the place" again holds true for the Rupert, Idaho store. It's big enough to have just about everything you'd need for home improvement projects, just like the ones to which you've become accustomed.

The store is well organized and laid out for easy shopping. Once you become familiar with the store, it's handy location and great inventory will keep you coming back.
