I first visited their other location a half mile south on the same street. The small cappuccino I ordered is the same quality at both places and is really a latte. As such, the milk overpowers the espresso flavor. It is a double shot, so at least they know how to serve espresso. From now on I’ll specify “dry” cappuccino as it’s getting difficult to find a place that knows the difference between a cappuccino and a latte.
As you can see in the picture it’s a nice place with plenty of seating. It’s a better building than the other location and is not flooded with the morning sun. When I tasted it, there was no matcha in there and tasted like just milk. When I asked her if she could remake it, she said she could not without charging me for a whole other drink since I “tasted it already”. That’s the only way you know it’s not made right, which is ironic they have a sign that says “people first, then coffee.” Evidently not… I have never been there before but it looked like a new coffee shop so clearly they know not how to make matcha. I don’t think I’ll be going there again. If you know matcha, DO NOT get matcha from there. And if you like good service, do...

However, despite this small detail, the rest of my experiences with midtown have been fantastic. A welcoming atmosphere, a stylish place to study, and a great staff set midtown apart. I usually cannot wait to see what they have on their new seasonal menus, the changes, the innovative flavors, and, more generally, the expressions of their baristas coming through in their...
