Very bad experience here. I had given my 4-digit McDonald's app code to the drive-thru attendant, but decided to cancel when they couldn't seem to sort out my order in the system. I ended up just ordering a new order through the app, separately. 10 minutes later I get an email saying that my credit card was charged an additional $10.98?? It became obvious that they never cancelled out my order in the drive-thru, and either: 1) the next person in line got their order paid for by me, since my 4-digit code was still in the register, or, 2) the employee decided to use my number to possibly buy stuff on my dime. Not happy at all.
I hope it was an honest mistake (it could have been willful), but what wasn't an honest mistake is when I called the store when I got home, and the shift manager tried to treat me like a scammer and wouldn't even listen to what I was saying. While I don't doubt they get people trying to scam them for free food or whatever, I was offering to send her a screenshot of my credit card statement showing the double billing, to prove it. Wouldn't listen. I just said, "it was only 45 minutes ago -- can't you just ask the people working the drive through if they remembered to remove my 4-digit code before processing the next order?" She was just combative and dismissive. She insisted that I needed to come back to the restaurant and bring my credit card, before the end of her shift, or else she couldn't do anything. She also insisted that "it's not possible for our system to double bill" eyeroll. Yeah, okay, let me drive 20 minutes back to the store, with 2 kids that are trying to eat dinner, argue with you, and then drive 20 minutes back home after that, for $10.98. I'm not wasting over an hour of my time and the hassle involved over 11 bucks.
But what I will waste my time on is this negative review....
Read moreI just left the drive-thru, and I feel compelled to share a deeply disappointing experience. The young woman with red and black braids displayed an attitude so unprofessional and disrespectful, it left both my husband and me stunned. When he calmly asked if there was an issue, she blatantly ignored him and handed over our food with visible hostility.
We accepted the meal only because we were genuinely hungry, but I can assure you—we will never return. I fully understand that every job comes with challenges, but customer service requires a certain level of emotional intelligence, grace under pressure, and basic human decency. Unfortunately, this individual demonstrated none of those qualities.
She may not realize how fortunate she is that my husband and I are mentally grounded and emotionally mature. Sadly, that isn’t the case for everyone—and her behavior could easily escalate the wrong situation. For the safety of both customers and staff, I sincerely hope management reconsiders who is representing their brand. Not everyone is suited for frontline service, and that’s not an insult—it’s a truth. Excellence in customer care should never...
Read moreIts your average fast food place, and so far have had some problems. My wife and I were there a few days ago and, well my wife's order was messed up and she was not a happy camper. She had a double fillet fish sandwich with no pickles and light on the Tatar sauce, well that wasn't what she, she received a single filet sandwich loaded down with tartar sauce there was so much sauce that it was all over the sandwich, and even on the bottom of the bun and to top it off she had pickles, 4 to be exact and she was not happy. We were in the drive through and it was busy, App.12:30p.m. so it was busy as all get out. So we pull over and she goes inside with receipt in hand that shows it was a special order. App 10 minutes go by and she comes out, not with a new sandwich but the full amount of what we paid for our meals. And a very applogetic store manager. This like I said is a fast food resturant folks. And with this problem is why I gave it a 3-star score. Fast-food, but sometimes it could be a total messed-up...
