Small Town Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Rutherfordton

In town for a few days with one of my besties and her family. I needed a little me time and the coffee pot at the Air BnB had gone out sooooo this coffee drinker went looking for a good place to get some brew. There were a few options in Rutherfordton that came up on my search and I looked at pictures and reviews of each. But Small Town just looked like my kind of place.

Best choice I could have made! Jay was excellent and aided me in my choice of order. I learned a little about the owner and the on-premises roasting of the coffee (which is so uncommon these days and very exciting to find in small town NC).

Everything about the atmosphere and decor drew me in and was absolutely soothing. The music, colors, items for sale, and especially the little selection of books on one of the windowsills 🌺

I had a Tall macchiato with Mocha and Caramel syrup and a homemade peach scone. Literally the best macchiato and most delicious scone I have ever had in my life!! I'm still here for another day and a half so I will absolutely be back one more time before I go back to Florida 😁

You can not get more fresh then this. They brew all the coffee on-site in small batches. You can see the coffee roaster when you come it. The owner born in Cuba and immigrated here as a boy where they would serve a child a little coffee and worm milk to go to sleep. He traveled all over south America and experienced what really freshly roasted and brewed coffee taste like inspired him to bring that quality to this small town. You could easily miss the store because it is off the main street in the corner. It is worth the tip and I took a bag of ground coffee home with me. Make the tip, you will love it. Great first time visit! Purchased two cold brews for my wife and myself which were delicious! We chose the coffee ice cubes which is an absolutely brilliant option! The female employee on Saturday April 15th was the ideal employee: welcoming and friendly when we first walked in and polite throughout the entire experience. So many younger employees are just staring at their phones so often and it was great to see an employee who was eager to do her job and was a great representative for the company! We will definitely return and next time buy some coffee to brew at home, although we don’t think it’s possible to make it as good...
