Angler Pub — Restaurant in Rutland City

I recently wrote a review that was quite negative on behalf of the “Angler Pub” due to the establishments reaction to an incident which happened two years ago… Now, They recently responded as of course, they should have… Stating there’s two sides to every story… I respectfully deleted my post after they responded, but the fact is my side was the truth and I just contacted a friend of mine John Erickson, who was there as well and read the follow up review and stated the owners were completely wrong in their response… I have a business and I take care of about 100 people per week and after 47 years, I have never thrown anybody out of my business… Never… When the actual event happened… It happened so quickly it was not in the eyesight of the staff other than the folks around the assault… my point is this… My friend and I were minding our own business and I got punched … Nothing else happened other than the fact that I fell to the floor and I was told to leave as well as the other gentleman that swung a fist and that was wrong… That’s it in a nutshell, people …that’s my gripe… There’s nothing else… Now two years later, I was told not to enter the premises, still… I’m willing to drop everything if they do and bring my business back there as well as my friends… forgive and forget… Time to move on…It’s a cozy place and the ball is in...

First impression is it's a typical dive bar. But then you'll see it's got some good points. A big one is they have live bands, local talent. That's hard to find around Rutland. The “ANGLER PUB” on Strongs Ave here in Rutland is excellent!... The set up is good, fast service… Excellent food and the staff is wicked friendly… Except one of the sons!... he’s just jealous because I’m twice his age and I have more hair! :)) … just kidding, Scott!...
