T.J. Maxx — Local services in Rutland City

As much as I love the quality products that are offered at TjMax, this review is of a different nature. Today as I shopped, I suddenly realized that my purse was missing. As you can well imagine, I felt sick to my stomach. I had had it in my cart but never left the cart unattended. As an employee walked by I shared with her my plight. She asked me pertinent questions and then went into action. I had been in every isle of the store and it seemed hopeless. I was fearful it had been somehow stolen. This wonderful woman along with another wonderful employee methodically walked up and down every isle. As I despaired mentally listing all of the valuable contents and info that were lost, suddenly they both appeared asking, "Is this it?" IT WAS!!!! In the Rutland store - newly reopened - on May 28. Boo. Overall bad impression started when I was waiting to get a n. Staff were telling customers they didn't "have to" wear masks (because it's not law in VT) and people were opting to TAKE their masks off. I asked the staff, she said people don't have to but there is a 'sign' on the door asking people to wearasks. The one, small print my sign did in fact strongly encourage customers to wear masks for others safety. Staff could have said THAT instead. We wish you would, and many would. Inside, yes there are arrows on the floor and alternate registers are open. But plenty of customers are strolling around with their faces uncovered. Worst thing about the experience is that the line is quite long to check out, and I have to stand next to these careless people in...

Every once in awhile if you know what you're looking for you can get something for a decent price with in there but in general I feel that this store is overpriced compared to what I'm able to get in most retail stores. I catch myself laughing out loud many times when I see they compared their price to what you would pay in retail I would never pay and they use this to justify what they're charging. For specific things that you really can't plan because there's no consistency in what they have or brands it's a hit and miss that's why I give it three stars and if you're not paying attention you will not save money you will spend money but I found a few Treasures in there from...
