C J's Suds South — Restaurant in Rutland City

A dive bar with "colorful locals" who were regulars. Never cared for this place to begin with and went sparingly but it was within walking distance from where I was spending the night on a rainy evening and the place I really wanted to go was closed for a private event, so I went in again. Ordered one beer and paid for it but 5 minutes later the bartender asked me to pay for it again. When I said I already paid for it she said she didn't recall. I mentioned I gave her a 20 and she gave me a bunch of change. This bar has been a local favorite since 1975. The friendly staff provides great drinks and Pub food, with a smile. It doesn't take long to get a turn at the pool table, because the players here are very competitive. CJ'S plays a variety of good music, or you can choose at the internet jukebox.
