I asked for a bagel and cream cheese and a coffee, both to go. I went to fix my coffee, clerk called over and asked if I wanted the bagel cut. Yes, I said, thinking she would make the sandwich and cut in half. Easier for me to travel and eat it that way. Then she called over to ask if I wanted a plastic knife. No, I said, thinking, "Why would I need a plastic knife?" She bagged my bagel and brought it over to me, I left, got back on the road, opened the bag some miles away, found a tiny container of cream cheese and a naked bagel cut so the cream cheese could be applied. I'm on the road, I asked for the bagel "to go", the clerk was pleasant but how did she expect me to make a sandwich while I'm driving? Instead of her asking all the questions (not telling me WHY I would NEED a plastic knife, and asking if I wanted the bagel cut---without telling me that if I say "no", the bagel would come COMPLETELY UNCUT and with a closed container of cream cheese. I got home and my husband told me they do that at Panera Bread. What a dopey way for this restaurant to "make" a bagel sandwich to go!!! Not worth the $5 I paid for a coffee and a bagel with...
Read moreI am never disappointed by the great food, and usually everyone is very nice at this location! However, yesterday I had a bad experience with a rude employee. I ordered curbside pickup and my order was brought out to me by an older, heavyset white man. He handed me my iced coffee and bag of food then turned around and started walking away. I opened the bag to see I didn't have a straw so I asked him for one. Instead of being courteous, he proceeded to tell me that it's Vermont law that they can't just give me a straw, I have to ask for one. That's funny, because every other place I've gotten food from in VT has given me a straw. Good customer service would have him ask me if I needed one, at the very least. Especially since he had them right in his apron pocket. This type of passive aggressiveness is totally uncalled-for and had me leave...
Read moreI placed an online order through the app today, expecting — like any customer — that my order would be correct. Most of us don’t want to waste time checking every single item at the drive-thru, especially when it holds up the line behind us. We trust the staff to get it right.
Unfortunately, when I opened my bag, I found a grilled cheese sandwich instead of the tuna salad sandwich I ordered. Seriously? One is hot, the other cold. It’s not even a close match. You’d think just holding the sandwich or reading the receipt would’ve made the mistake obvious.
To top it off, the worker even initialed the receipt, which makes me question how this error was missed. I really hope corporate steps in to review what’s going on at this location — quality control and basic order accuracy shouldn’t...
