Updated 2/11/24. Went to the Huntley drive thru today and i had asked for 4 piece legs chickens only. From the getgo this girl was rude and not customer friendly whats so ever!. She asked what do i want to drink and i said i want chicken only! Rudely responded with we dont sell 4 piece. They only sell 3 piece and i said fine then give me 6 pieces. She again rudely said we dont have 6 pieces, it'll be 12 minutes. I said fine. Went up to the window and she said $16 some change. I asked how muchare the 3 piece? She said $7 something plus tax. I gave my apple pay abd asked me to move forward. I received a charge notification at 7:03 pm. At 7:21pm i went inside and said its been 20 minutes! This tall lady came and asked what did you order and i said 6 pieces of drum sticks! The lady said its 7:22 and i said yes iys been 20 mins and i showed her my text when the charge went thru and showed her it was 7:03. Then this young girl from the drive thru who took my order said "itll be 8 mins sir!" With a rudely response. I dont normally argue back but this young girl was so RUDE i had to say something. I said " you are so rude" instead of being apologetic she argued back and said you were the one that was rude when you walked in here. I replied "you were rude since the drive thru!".... i asked for refund! I asked the tall lady if she was the manager and she said no. There was a short lady in brown shirt came out and i guess trying to issue a refund on the drive thru computer and there was a black lady by the fryer and asked if i paid by a card and i said yes and asked if i have the card and i logged on to digital wallet and she asked if i have the actual card and i said no. She was hesistant about being able to issue my refund without the card, but the short lady did it. Afterward the black lady was telling me that she was making the chicken to make sure its fully cooked and i said its been 20 minutes and she said she was making other chickens and retelling me that she has to make sure its cooked. I said AGAIN its been 20 MINUTES! She gave me my receipt and i asked the rude young girl whats your name. She responded with an attitude "What?" I said it loudly" WHAT IS YOUR NAME?" SHE SAID "Jayla" and that when i left. DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I drove to carpentersville where very polite and said if its ok he will ring up two two piece with side dish. I said its fine and the total was $13 something. If you dont like your job then QUIT especially when you habe to deal with customers!
So much better than the one on big timber. Avoid the big timber location at all cost. Not sure if they changed to new indian owners or what but take the extra 10 mins to come to this one instead. I give it 4 star because the dining room is closed in almost all popeyes locations for a...
Read moreThis location is the epitome & poster child of gross incompetence and negligence. The store has been open roughly 2 years and in that time they have failed to answer or resolve any of the issues that have plagued them since the beginning. Let's start with the fact that they are the only store within the last 3 months that I have visited that hasn't opened their dining room back to the public. The digital menu board in the drive thru has been non-functional since a month or so after they opened. There are constantly hand written signs taped to the speaker advising of out of stock items. The staff are incapable of greeting a person when they pull up to the window. I can't tell you how many times there was zero words said to me other than stating my total. No "welcome" no "hello" no "thank you" no "goodbye". If or when you bring up an issue the staff get almost immediately combative. Today after getting soaked in the rain only to find the front doors locked (without any signage indicating why). So I pulled into the drive thru. There were 2 cars in front of me at the order screen. After roughly 15 minutes they departed out of frustration over the long wait. I pulled up to the speaker and after another 5 minutes I said "hello?" and was responded to with "I'll get to you in a minute. When she returned and asked for my order I informed her it was a mobile order and she told me to pull up. After another 10 minutes I get to the window where I am told that Popeye's no longer has the Shrimp Tackle Box and that I would need to contact customer service for a refund. Why not tell me at the speaker? Instead of wasting 30 minutes of my time sitting in line. If I had to make one suggestion to the corporate it would be something like this. After around 2 years, if a brand new facility, and manager can not in good faith exhibit the ability to properly operate said facility then perhaps corporate should do an investigation to determine if this franchise owner should have their licensing revoked! Furthermore corporate should be looking at the regional & district managers for answers as to why this cycle has been allowed to continue so long. Because right now the only thing they are doing is essentially running a very well orchestrated smear campaign on the Popeyes...
Read moreI had a disrespectful encounter with the manager on duty at the Popeyes in Huntley Illinois on route 47. The incident occurred on Monday October 4th around 7pm. My sandwich was left out of my order, so I tried to walk inside to get the sandwich I paid for. The door was locked, so I had to wait in line again for my food. As I pulled up to the window, the manager essentially threw the sandwich at his employee to give to me. I asked “is this a spicy sandwich?” To which the manager behind the cashier rudely replied “it says on the bag”. I said “I understand that, but you had already forgotten my sandwich so I wanted to double check”, but before I could finish that sentence, the manager reached over the cashier and slammed the window closed. I waited at the window to make sure I was given a receipt. They opened the window again about 2 minutes later and refused to give me a receipt. I asked for the manager’s name, but he walked away and the door was shut on my again. The cashier told me her name, but said the manager does not wish to give out his personal information and I would need to wait by the door for ten minutes if I wanted to speak to him directly. I told her that no manager should speak that way and she said “trust me I know”. I told her I was sorry she had to work under him and she said thank you. Moral of the story, this manager has caused a hostile work environment for this specific location. The employees suggested this was not his first time acting out at a customer, so I can only imagine how he treats the employees behind...
