Blue Agave Taqueria & Bar — Restaurant in Sacramento

Not sure what happened but this place used to be my togo place to grab carne asada fries and burrito. Now it's mainly just a burrito which I would say hits the spot due to its closeness factor to where I live.

Carnitas or al pastor burritos always slap. I haven't found a good carne asada burrito place yet. Their tacos are great but I would actually go to jalapanos for that if you're willing to travel to midtown (which also has fantastic fries). The salsa bar is pretty typical so it fills a taqueria urge. However, Vallarta has a better selection in EG so if you like your toppings I would go there.

Carne asada fries are pretty bad nowadays. Last time I tried it nearly a year ago, it was great texture for fries and toppings were great. Beans is an iffy issue with carne asada fries because they can make it mushy so you gotta eat it quick. However, you know you can never go wrong so it's all good in the end. Moving forward to today, the fries are so bad I'm not sure what to say. It's like they just boiled it AND THAT'S IT. There's no crispy texture it's just super mushy so why would I pay 13.50 for this? You know it's bad when you take a fork and it breaks apart before it reaches your mouth.

It could be that I walked home with fries but no way it should be this bad after a few minutes of walking. The toppings were just as I remember it which is great but the fries is the foundation so if that sucks everything sucks. I don't get it. If you want decent fries I guess and stay in EG, I would hit up vallarta or the one food truck near EG (franklin blvd and bruceville rd) walmart. Those fries are that much more superior and worth the hassle to get over this. I haven't tried the other nearby places for fries because these two are easily accessible from my area and aren't iffy...

Taco Tuesday Everyone!!!

OMG!!! All I can see is five star YELP streak. I guess we can maintain that streak since the food is AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG.

I heard about their delicious food and saw mouth watery taco pictures on social media and I couldn't wait to try their tacos. Who can resist tacos on taco Tuesday?

I placed my orders through phone for pick-up and the person on the other end said it should be ready in 15 minutes. The lady was super sweet. I went inside the restaurant and it was empty (not their fault since we're in pandemic and no indoor/outdoor dining allowed). Restaurant was nice and clean and chairs up on the table. The lady helping me was nice and told me they opened in November. The staffs wear mask and sanitize their hands after touching credit cards. Thank you for taking precautions.

I paid using credit card and it was fast transaction for 2 chicken tacos, 1 shrimp taco, 1 fish taco, 1 carnitas and 1 Asada taco. Best part about coming on Tuesday is most of their tacos are $1.50 besides shrimp and fish. Even though those are not $1.50, I wouldn't mind going back just to order more.

With the tacos they provided free chips and unfortunately no sauce. That was a bummer but it's okay. The food was delicious.

We all enjoyed their tacos. I highly recommend the fish and shrimp tacos. I'm going back on the weekend for their yummy soup, fish and shrimp tacos.

Overall, the customer service was great and the food was delicious. I've finally found the best MEXICAN restaurant...

I recently tried this place for the first time and I have to say, I was blown away by their tostadas! The crispy shell was perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. But what really stood out to me was the guacamole - it was some of the best I've ever had!

In addition to the great food, the service was exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to make sure we were happy with our meal.

I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu - I've heard great things about their tacos and margaritas! Overall, Blue Agave Taqueria & Bar is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for delicious Mexican food in a welcoming atmosphere....
