1 star simply becuase of the so called Management. My waiter Megan was awesome. Dinner with wife and son(5yrs). So, I had made a reservation for 6:15pm. I arrived at 6pm to check in, when doing so the hostess stated it will take 30-45 extra minutes to be seated even with reservation. I was confused by this becuase not only did I arrive early to my reserved time slot but there were several tables were empty. See photo! This is where ir became embarrassing for any person representing the business or any business professional for that matter. I then asked for a manager to come up and maybe explain my challenge in a way that made more sense to me. The young hostess grabs some guy whom looked like he was possibly the janitor named GABE, who called himself the Manager. A blind person can look at him and know he was no manager, but I went ahead and tried to explain my concern anyway. He basically said there were 8 others somehow in front of me, that he was done explaing himself and he could take me off the list if I didnt want to wait. Keep in mind reservations are made in 15 minute intervals and supposedly start at 6pm for dinner. I went outside to sit and wait, frustrated with how I was pointlessly being treated. It was Mother's Day so I bit my tongue.
Wait it gets worse. After 3 minutes or so, I get up to use their restroom and examine the eating areas as well. See photo. After I realize there was at least 5 tables available. I then approach the Manager GABE by the bar and I state, "there looks to be several tables available, why am I still having to wait 45 minutes"? With no answer, some drunk woman approaches(BROOKE) and says can I help you I'm the General Manager? I said, no you can't, primarily becuase she seemed drunk and I was already working with the Manager(GABE). She then storms off as if her feelings were hurt. I said Brooke, I did have a question for you though, as she stomping away from me. She said, "No you don't, you wanted the manager to help you right? I said miss, you're drunk and this is ridiculous. I then went back outside in utter disbelief. I calmy bit my tounge and waited. I finally seated approximately 6:40pm. Megan, then made the dinner experience better with her pleasant attitude. Crawdads, please have a real Manager trained and hired and the GM(BROOKE)... I have no words, simply terrible and unprofessional! To whom this may concern! I am available for...

Read moreFood overall was okay, but fries and crab cakes were a bit overly salty. Eating area is right on the docks, so the view is amazing!
But 2 issues that immediately was a turn off:
Took not 1, 2, or even 3 - but 4 - server visits to our table to provide utensils. Some of the food was brought out, but then we waited for a bit for the next server to come by so we can request utensils, but nobody had stopped by for a while. I haven't been to too many restaurants where the servers don't stop by until after the food gets cold. I would be understanding if the restaurant was busy, but there were quite a few empty tables around us when we were there (Monday night).
I had asked the server how many crab cakes were in each order. She said "I believe 3." So I ordered the crab cakes for appetizer. The order ended up including only 2 pieces. Each piece looked like it had more breading than actual crab. A bit disappointed I essentially paid $10 for each overly salted breading with bits of crab. I would not have ordered this dish if I knew there would only be 2 mediocre pieces. No apology or any consolation for giving the wrong information. Hopefully there is further training on the staff so this doesn't happen again.
The scenery here is pleasant with a good spot to enjoy the view. However, the poor service and mediocre food left us with a bad experience such that we wouldn't really want to plan a night out specifically to come here. We may stop back again if our friends are visiting from out of town and would like to have a drink on the dock overlooking the river. Other than for this reason, we would otherwise not...
