This is the 2nd time I have gotten food from here. The first time I came here I ordered a burger for take out. I was a little disappointed with the burger and fries, but they were pretty busy when I walked in and ordered so I thought maybe that was the reason for it lacking in luster. It was a very small and thin patty with lettuce, tomato and I believe mayo (it's been a couple months so I'm not positive). I requested cheese on my burger but when I was home and pulled the burger out to eat there was no cheese. So on to tonight's dinner. I decided to give them another chance since they were so busy last time. I came in around 6-6:15 and they were not to busy. There was a family of 6 already eating their meal, and a table of 2 who received their meals right after mine was delivered to the table. I ordered the chimichanga with beef, and asked if it came served with beans and rice. To which I was told yes it does. I received my chimney absent of beans and/or rice. It had plenty of lettuce, pico de giao, guac, and sour cream. However the meat is terrible. It is completely tasteless and I believe it is probably the cheapest cut of meat they could buy. I will not be coming back to this...
Read moreThe ratings do this place justice. It is tried, tested, and well deserved. Even my spanish friends who barely speak english know of it and highly recommend it and it's regarded as the best Mexican food restaurant in the greater Sacramento area by a lot of people that I know. I only go for the food but they have a full bar and lot's of tv's. The food is the best part, as it should be in any restaurant; it's why we go. It's taco truck level quality with the whole restaurant experience and when I say taco truck quality food I mean that level of quality you'd expect from a single person who's worked on the same equipment for decades. It's clean, has bathrooms, really nice employees and that special mucho beuno absolutely bomb food. The menu is huge! And honestly, the bigger and more complex menu a restaurant has, typically, the lower quality food you'll find there but this place is the exception to that rule. Go there, try it, and then...
Read moreI tried their asada and fish tacos and asada burrito. The asada was terrible, not like inedible terrible, it lacked flavor and was very dry and looked light a grey-brown color. The fish taco was very fishy tasting and the type of corn tortillas they used for it just split completely down the middle and was soggy. It was a soggy, nasty fish taco. The burrito was not any good because the asada was just so disappointing.
I didn’t try any other tacos besides those two but if you can’t even get asada right then I doubt you can get anything else right.
I saw a review that said this place could possibly have the best tacos in CA/Sacramento and I just want to know if that person has ever tasted a decent taco in their life because this place is not a good taco spot.
They have a bar inside so I’m assuming the alcohol is what keeps the food orders coming because I couldn’t tell what else would.
The red salsa was good,...
