Hefty Gyros Food Truck — Restaurant in Sacramento

I was excited for my meal and excited to try Falafel for the 1st time with yogurt sauce, hummus, rice etcetera a complete vegetarian plate. The food was bursting with flavor and a tolerable kick of spiciness. My job treated us for free lunch following a type of all hands or state of the department meeting that day. It was a Thursday & I usually work from home but decided to work in the office so I could attend the important meeting hosted by our department chair. Back to my hefty gyro food. I honestly would have given the highest rating but, after trying this meal and loving all the flavors and textures and cultural traditional dishes. I looked at my plate on the left by the sauce and the rice. After being completely satisfied with the meal I saw a long black straight hair looped through my yogurt sauce which I couldn't believe. I was like OMG! This is the worst thing to see after I just enjoyed almost every bite of food on my plate. Finding a hair just kills your vibe. I am sure it was an accident but, it's horrible. Makes me think what if I ate a piece mixed into another food item. What if I ate something else that is a total "no no" if I was a food critic which I consider myself to be to an extent. You start questioning whether these people are wearing hair nets and gloves while preparing your food. Is the inside of the truck clean where my food was prepared? Are the following all food safety measures. Just seeing a hair in your food makes you immediately feel nauseous. Now it's hard for me to recommend this food truck & eat here again. Hefty Gyros truly saved the day! After another food truck canceled last-minute, I reached out to them just one night before our school event, and they didn’t hesitate to come through. Jamal, the owner, was incredibly responsive and kind. Within minutes of talking to him, I felt completely reassured.

Hefty Gyros showed up professional, prepared, and full of positive energy, and let me tell you, they were the sensation of the night! Everyone was raving about how freakin’ amazing the food was. Fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile.

“Big Flavor, Bigger Gyros!”

Tried Hefty Gyros for the first time and was seriously impressed. The portions live up to the name — these gyros are hefty. Packed with tender, well-seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and each bite hits the spot.

Service was fast and friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. Only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is because the line was a bit long during lunch rush (a good sign, really), and I would’ve loved a bit more spice or sauce customization.

Still, this is definitely one of the best gyro trucks I’ve tried. Great value for the price and a must-stop if you’re craving something satisfying on the go. Will...
