Sactown Eats — Restaurant in Sacramento

This is a literal whole in the wall. You order from a kiosk and wait for your name to be called. The neighborhood looks a little rough, in case that's a deal breaker. There is no customer service as it is more of a fast food experience.

I ordered the oxtail meal, what I thought were some fries only, a Haitian patty and limón cake. I did not see any ox tail. I believe they are passing ox or turkey kneck for ox tail. The consistency and taste were not there. I had to drain about a cup of oil from the bowl before getting to what they are passing as ox tial. The taste was interesting. A little spice but not quite the traditional ox tail flavors we have in the carribean. Then the rice, for a carribean dish, was dry. Tasted more like Indian rice that carribean. The fries were great but didn't sample anything past that. Highly disappointed with this dish. I thought I would get better or even actual carribean food...

Fantastic food! There is no dining room, take out only. But that means good portions from amazing chefs at incredible prices. Ordering is easy, use your phone or one of the kiosks in the lobby. Staff are engaged, helpful, and seem excited to be part of a good food revolution! We ordered from 3 of the many chefs available and we were all impressed. I am veg and was impressed by the options available to me. I finally settled on a potato chickpea bowl from Ben's Fast Food, I was certainly not disappointed. It was amazing, and the leftovers were just as delicious, next day. Others choose Italian Brothers pasta and were equally impressed. We love, love, love...

So far, I only had the chance to order dumplings from master Yue and boba from boba delight, and we were totally delighted! The other dumpling places we wanted to order from weren’t open yet so we gave it a try. Excellent quality and flavor .We ordered Siu mai, steamed pork and soup dumplings, but the real stars were the shrimp and pea shoot dumplings. I was definitely surprised about this location and can’t wait to try the other restaurants there including Caribbean fire. I didn’t read the atmosphere because this is a ghost kitchen and food pick up spot located in the north downtown area and it’s not exactly known for...
