3 people ordered a total of 5 different pies, 3 sweet ones and 2 savory.
Love the simplicity of the place and its' decorum. Very clean, bright and welcoming. staff is extremely relaxed, smiling and attentive. their displays are clean, well arranged and the appealing.
Alyssa helped me us with our orders and was very pleasant. When asked to speak with the owner, him and his wife came out to meet us, introduce themselves and didn't rush us with a simple Hi and Bye. Fred and Katie are the owners and do actually put their knowledge and experience to use in the kitchen. Very pleasant couple.
My friends loved their vegetable quiche and shepherd's pie. Generous portions and not overly heated in a microwave.
Sweet pies were delicious. i cannot pick a favorite since both pies and the cake were well made, not too sweet. Real and fresh ingredients you can taste.
Surely my favorite and they easily top any other pie store in town. my place for life and wont bother going elsewhere for cheap,...
Read moreI bought a pie here on Saturday to take to a dinner party that night. I chose the Rhubarb and Blueberry which has a crumble topping and was overflowing with delicious stickiness. It went down a treat. Everyone present enjoyed it, including myself. The shop is bright and airy and extremely clean and wholesome looking. Large chiller cabinets that hold the pies in a Thiebaud-esque display, and another chiller cabinet with enough cream pies to make Kevin Johnson extremely nervous. It's already very popular and I had to circle to get a parking place close enough, but there are plenty of staff and wait time was minimal. Aparently they do 'Pie Shakes' which is a slice of pie blended with milk and served in a glass. Maybe some other time... Oh, they also do savoury pies - Chicken pot pies is the only one I saw. If they started doing that British favourite 'Steak and Kidney Pie', I would buy one and eat it in my car before returning to my...
Read moreI visited for the first time yesterday - very attractive place, friendly and helpful staff (and owner, if I'm not mistaken). The selection was a little small by my 4pm visit (I had heard they often sell out of the day's production, so my procrastination is at fault - the owner (?) told me if one calls in they are happy to hold items for late-day pickup. I selected a slice of a lovely carrot cake, intending to share after a later dinner at home. It was fantastic - as good or better than any I have ever tried. Slice was generous enough to share easily - cut in two it did not look disappointing, and we agreed more than enough after a meal.
Suggestion for owner - a simple bike rack out front would be a nice touch - especially as Broadway is slated to become more bike-friendly soon.
I'll be back soon to try other items - a welcome...
