Taco Bell — Restaurant in Sacramento

Previously rated this location 5 stars, was always hands down, the most helpful friendly, and professional.

In recent year however, establishment has reversed course due to corporate mandates and now almost exclusively caters to drive thru, regardless how hard you try to accomade being patient and understanding.

You'll stand at the counter, even with a Mobile Order already placed, and wait for your food for TWENTY minutes easily, and that's IF they even bother sending someone to the counter to queue your order up onto their prep screens.

If you need to place an order in person, you're made to use the digital kiosks, which cant accept cash, and therefore you'll wait an easy 5-10 minutes for someone to be free, to ACCEPT your payment.

Meanwhile, drive thru is being attended to constantly.

Staff will sometimes not even acknowledge you at the counter to begin with, to even let you know they'll be with you as soon as they can.

They will literally see you standing there, and blatantly ignore you.

If food is incorrect, you'll have to stand at the counter several more minutes to try and get someone's attention to get a fix. I've left with several orders over the last few months that made me wait so long, it wasn't even worth the effort and additional time to wait for a replacement.

If lobby gets a line going, ALL of you will stand there waiting for someone to address you, no different than if only one person was waiting as opposed to four or more.

The establishment may as well close it's lobby altogether, because being ignored and made to wait for 20+ minutes, on repeated monthly visits, even WITH a Mobile Order at the ready, is absurd.

Doesn't matter if your order is $5 or $25. If you're not in drive thru,...

This location. At least to me, is smaller than it looks but that can also mean fewer people so if you want a less rowdy experience during busy hours that could work for you. But there are some issues with location such as accessibility, design, and atmosphere. Accessibility is a bit under in my opinion because when i went they had to open the bathrooms for me which was an inconvenience to both parties i imagine, and i also went to get some soda and the soda machine was turned off. I can guess maybe there was someone trying to steal soda before i came to get the drink but what do i know. The design of the place is as i said earlier rather small, but also a bit clunky for the size, as though they just wanted to fit in everything they could without much thought to how it should feel inside. The way that the kitchen is modled including it's clear view from almost any customer stand point at front of house is rather hostile to the employees. Customers can watch them like a hawk and there are areas that are trying to look like they have space, but i can tell that if i was trying to move past people in there (especially while they might be doing something and are unmoving) it could get to be annoying. I came in Taco Bell I'm here right now and ordered two ENCHIRITOS both extra meat and sauce plus three tacos cheese before lettuce and two Dorito tacos what the cooks did was scrapped off the lettuce and put the cheese on it i told them to make my order over but one of the cooks started getting very loud and rude. I also asked If they could put both red and green sauce on my ENCHIRITOS and the both started be very disrespectful. After about 5-6 mins my order was ready and we eat in the lobby. I opened one of my TACOS. And my shell was broken in about 7-8 pieces. I opened the other 2 they were the same. I really was so upset. Then i asked the cashier how much was the DRINKS. and he gave me 2 free small cups of sodas. I when to the soda machine to get my drinks i was able to get one then all of a sudden someone turned off the soda machine. I asked what was going on and the male who was at the drive thru window told me that i could only get WATER. I told him the CASHIER gave me free cups to get sodas The two female Cooks, and the male drive-thru started a argument with me then the other Cashier told them he gave me the cups for sodas free.
