Willie's Burgers — Restaurant in Sacramento

Im so disappointed to even write this review because I am a huge fan of the k street location , I was excited to see that the 16th street location was significantly cheaper but also confused as to why it was so much cheaper but let’s stay focused. I walked into the restaurant people were eating and a man in an apron came forward to take my order , another lady had her face shoved in her phone while also stuffing her face , over the food that I was prepared to purchase , the guy in the apron was nice but it was like a horror movie the way everything looked so dirty including his apron nothing wiped down no hand washing and again why eat in the area where you cook ? It’s insanely unsanitary, as I contemplated risking my health another worker came from the bathroom 60 seconds after going in and I had to assume she couldn’t have used the bathroom and washed her hands that quickly but I can’t say for sure because I was not there with her , it was just alarming. She went straight to the kitchen no additional hand wash or anything after touching bathroom handle and keys. I lied and said I left my wallet in the car and ran out quickly never to return. Seeing that location made me question eating at K street , why are prices higher there ? They definitely don’t have the most clean place but it’s clean enough and you can watch them prepare your food. I had to leave this review because I almost called the health department, let me not forget to mention the scariest part ! There's a ton of reasons I love this place, but the one that made me write the review is the the fresh produce. Always good green crispy lettuce and well cut firm tomato's. And that's been consistent over the last 15 years that I've been going. Great local family owned business, staff handle rushes very efficiently. Just be aware that this is a literal SMALL building. There's not a lot of place to stand while waiting, so if you're dining out/to-go, maybe leave your family in the car (safely, obv,) outside, or at home. However, the lack of space has never stopped me from coming back. Additional info: Burger patties are about standard thin patty sized, juicy, always cooked properly. Fries are similar size/shape to mcdonalds, not as salty as mcd, but I bet they make a GREAT base on the chili fries. Best when fresh and hot! 4/5 This place was great. Me and my dad came on the Fourth of July because no other place was open and they were super busy but our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered double cheeseburger and it was great. I also ordered some regular fries and again no problems there. My dad ordered a triple cheeseburger and garlic fries and he said that they were hitting the spot! It was a classic burgers and fries joint with other options too. I saw they had hotdogs and some basic sandwiches like a Caprese and other options. The pricing was reasonable and I was happy with pretty much everything.
