I lived in Europe for a time and I loved to go to a certain pizza restaurant because it was delicious and after we ate our pizza our stomachs did not hurt, but even felt gooood. I knew that coming back to the USA getting legit quality pizza would not be possible. But I was wrong, nestled away in The Gila Valley, it is possible. The ingredients are so good your tummy will thank you. When I came back to the USA, inflation was also very high and you now can't get McDonald's without forking out some pretty good change $$; and that's for fake food. So, I would rather pay for quality amazing pizza with my money and have it be for something of worth; and for my body not to have bad consequences, which saves me money in the end. I would also like to comment on the service at this restaurant. I know I can take any friends to Fancy's and they will have a good experience and that we will be taken care of. In fact I did do that and we were wrapped in loved and stomachs filled with love. I trust them to have good service and have quality pizza that tastes amazing. I don't have a job where I have to take clients somewhere for a meal, but if I did I would take them to Fancy Pizzeria. Also, I am lucky to have family in The Gila Valley so I have an excuse to visit often (we let them believe I visit for them, but it's for the Pizza). Even if you are just traveling through, then go here and enjoy a European pizza. PS I love their plates, they give off total Italian...

First time it was slow and had an overall good time/meal.
Second time was the worst. Sat for over an hour waiting for food (didn't appear super busy), wife got her food an they told me they forgot about my order. They knew they didn't have the ingredients for the drink I ordered but didn't say anything until after it was brought. No offer to not charge or discount for not being able to make the drink ordered. To be fair I did get refills on the substitute but if you don't have a product it's best to state that up front not charge for something you cant supply. Heard someone rally mad yelling in the kitchen, server confirmed it was the owner yelling at the staff. The dining area was a cluttered mess but the expansion was underway.
Third time we just did carry out. Walked in sat a few minutes, got food in bag and walked out. Staff was friendly, dining area looked better than it had before.
Food is pretty good, at least to my taste, but every one likes different things. Toppings are pretty sparse, cheese is good, sauce is good but a little more would be nice, crust is good and has a slight sourdough flavor with a nice texture. Don't think I would pay full price all things considered, but when the deals are on its a nice...
Read moreFancy Pizzeria is our favorite pizza place in the Gila Valley! Ben has done such a good job setting up this shop. The location is quaint, but do not let that fool you. After the remodel, the new space is great. The food is super fresh and prepared artistically. From the first bite, you will note the quality of the food. The pizza crusts from a fresh dough are so tasty. The sauce has the sweet taste of perfectly ripened tomatoes. The cheese is likely fresh and tasty. Portions are generous and a good value for the money. We like to get the Margarita pizza and the Italian Chopped Salad and then whatever the fresh cookie is! Do NOT miss out on the pastas! And the grilled cheese with tomato soup, literally changed my life. We love all of the pastas and other creations Ben has prepared for us. We have never been disappointed, and they always exceed expectations. We go here regularly and do not plan on slowing down. We go dine in and take out orders and love it both ways!
I have to add updated information. Ben has done many new and great improvements to his restaurant. The addition of steak is a game changer. The quality of the meat, attention to preparation and presentation have given Safford a great blessing. This steak is seriously one of the best I have had anywhere in Arizona. You HAVE to...
