Having heard about ‘The Bread Guy’ for quite awhile, I finally found myself in downtown Saginaw and decided to stop in. Nestled between some very rough looking buildings is a small shop with a ‘The Bread Guy’ sign. Inside there isn’t much room or a bountiful display of baked goods; however, the smell of fresh baked bread is present. An affable young man, the actual bread guy, will tell you all about the days’ goods. Fair warning: nothing is cheap but you won’t mind since the quality is high. The Blueberry Lemon Scone was crumbly goodness — it needs no condiment. The sourdough wheat and multigrain batard are still being ravenously devoured as I write this review. Do yourself a favor when downtown... find ‘The Bread Guy’.

Wow! Purchased a box of these Hand Rolled Brioche buns from Costcos and I’m addicted!!! They taste amazing, super soft texture as if I’ve just picked them up fresh from the bakery. Looking forward to a trip to NJ so I can sample the other products they have.

I am overjoyed to share my wonderful experience! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked pastries and greeted by the warm and friendly staff.

The Bread Gal truly delivers on all fronts when it comes to an exceptional bakery experience. The selection of pastries and breads is simply out of this world. Each item is carefully crafted with precision and love, resulting in a burst of flavors in every bite. Whether it's the flaky croissants, the freshly baked bread or the mouthwatering pastries, I was overwhelmed by the sheer deliciousness of it all.

What sets this bakery apart is not only the quality of their baked goods but also the passion that shines through in their creations. You can truly taste the dedication and skill that goes into each item. It's evident that the bakers take great pride in what they do, and that passion is contagious.

Moreover, the presentation of the pastries is impeccable. It's clear that The Bread Gal pays attention to every detail, ensuring that every customer receives not only an exquisite treat but also a feast for the eyes.

To top it all off, the prices are reasonable. Considering the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that go into each item, I found it to be a great value for the extraordinary experience I had here!

Thank you, for creating such a remarkable experience for...

Visiting back home for the holidays, we went to this tiny little shop whose sign saying "coming soon" we had seen on our last visit in July. This young man has truly mad skills. Check the photo I just Uploaded. Something we enjoy very much back East is good food and for myself especially good baking as I try an amateur hand at that myself. The baugette has the perfect firmness of crust and flex betraying a tenderl interior crumb. Will post again when we crack it open later. UPDATE: It was as good as it looked, flavor & texture perfect We immediately ate the croissant that we bought and were immediately impressed. We have eaten literally thousands of these in our 64 + 65 years and at many dozens of bakeries from local groceries to patisserie in Paris. This baker is the equal of any in the US including New York City and San Francisco, and is only slightly below the best we have had in Paris. You never know where talent can arise. Try this little place and you will see what we mean. Naturally you have to eat the goods fresh as there are no preservatives.

*UPDATE: After 2 years and 5 visits he's still as consistantly great as when he opened. Scones are killer, too, and that requires a very different skillset. This guy...

I got the salami pickle sandwich, chocolate chip scones, and pain au chocolat.

The sandwich was served in a baguette which I thought was kind of small, but it was crazy filling and the best baguette I've ever had! The pickles and whatever sauce was on it worked great! I'd get it again for lunch.

The scones were really good. Had a nice crunch on the outside while being soft and not too dry or moist on the inside. Their chocolate chips we're quite good. Not too sweet or bitter.

I never had a pain au chocolat before, but the croissant portion of it was buttery and light, and the chocolate again wasn't too sweet or bitter while being slightly soft to fit with the texture of the croissant. It was also quite a big croissant, very filling pastry.

I'd definitely stop here again. Next time I make soup I'm gonna have to grab a loaf of bread and a...
