Being a sandwich head I was told if I was ever in the area of Rosciglione Bakery to stop by and get the meatball sandwich. Just so happens I was in the neighborhood for work. So I did just that. Must of been around 1:30 in the afternoon. I was told that they do sell out early but I thought I’d take my chances. So glad I did. I was confronted by a display case full of really lovely looking pastries and cannolis and cookies. I’m not overly versed in my Italian /french pastry’s but just by sight they all looked delicious. Definitely some interesting flavors being offered. I’ll have to come back with the Missis who knows a little more than me about these things. Anyway I’m getting distracted. The Meatball sandwich with cheese was awesome. Here’s why I loved it. The meatballs had a good bite to them firm but not dry. ( you know when you get meat balls that are too soft, kinda mushy?)These weren’t that. Very Italian flavors in them. The sauce was the best part. Tasted homemade and it wasn’t sweet like so many St Louis style marinara sauces. I loved it and I will be back for more of them. The server was very sweet too. I also chatted with the customer in front of me ( a local) very nice. I recommend coming here. Sorry no pics of the sandwich unfortunately I wolfed it down too...
Read moreMy family has used this bakery since it opened for the traditional Italian Log Cake for birthdays and Christmas. It saddens me to say that this year when my husband picked up 2 log cakes for my surprise birthday party .and he got them back to the City, both cakes had split in half and slid . Thinking he could repair it himself he put it in freezer until it hardened and he was going to try as and piece it back together. Well needless to say that didn’t work and the party was without a cake. The truly disappointing factor though was when I called in the morning to discuss the issue and spoke with the rudest individual who took no responsibility For the ruined $180 worth of cake that USED to be my family’s traditional favorite Then 2 weeks later at a family Christmas party the Log Cake was served and was terrible. I write this review to warn others that this cake used to be the best cake in St Louis has sadly become a very expensive pastry that isn’t worth the time it...
Read morePulled up at 2:45 pm and they close at 3. I see a lady running around back and forth in there as we are getting out of the car, which is a bit odd, but didn't think much of it. We get both of our small children out of the car and as we are halfway to the door I watch her run up to the open sign and turn it off and run the other direction. Extremely obnoxious and unprofessional nevermind rude to do this in front of us even if she was trying to crouch while doing this like she's being stealthy. As we loaded the kids back in another lady pulled up and was just as surprised and disappointed in the ridiculous situation as us and especially our children who were looking forward to a sweet treat. I guess they did not want our money and definitely will not be getting any of it...
