White Castle has gone downhill so far, I don't think they can survive much longer. Let's start with their app. Worst app I think I have ever used. Even a micro sized local business has a much better app. Whoever developed it must be out of touch with today. Hard to navigate but the worst part is that every time I go to use the app I have to re-enter all my information. Maybe that's a good security measure but terribly inconvenient. I have an iPhone 16 Pro. I'll admit I don't use the WC app very often but when I do I have to treat it like I am just now signing up by filling in all the profile data. And I have it set to save the data.
They almost never have any good sales/coupons/discounts. A regular slider with cheese is $1.22. Each slider is three bites or two, if you take bigger bites. Hardly an inexpensive option but that's supply and demand, I guess.
Today I had a craving so, while I was out, I ordered some. Had to go through the app nonsense. Placed the order for a sack (10) of sliders with Jalapeno. Drive to the location approximately 10 minutes away. Go thru the drive through and it's automated, no service attendant on the speakerphone. It didn't recognize my voice or words and had a scratching noise like electronics have when there is a loose connection. I waited for it to recognize me but it never did so I drove to the first window. 2 cars in front of me. When I got to the window there was no one manning it. I waited several minutes and a young gal came over and asked if I was the mobile order and said my name. I said, yes. She closed the sliding window and never said a word and never came back. I pulled to the second window. An old lady with a foreign accent asked if I ordered a something or another. I said, no, I ordered 10 with jalapeno. She closed the window. Came back and said it would be $13.XX. I said it was paid for online. She closed the window. She came back and handed me the receipt then closed the window again. I waited at the window for several more minutes, maybe 7 or 8 minutes. and she handed me my back of 10 sliders. All together it took over 20 minutes. What's the point of using the app if it's the same procedure whether you order online or in person? So much for fast food and drive-thrus. No pickle on the sliders.
2 locations nearer me have already closed. I'm sure this location is on it's way out too. Such a shame and a waste as this location went through a complete building update not that long ago. And if all of that isn't enough, there was a young kid sitting outside right at the end of the drive-thru stopping people begging for money and this location is not in the hood. I won't...
Read moreMy husband & I attempted to dine in here today, but instead ended up asking for our $24.00 back. We ordered several items, one of which was an order of mozzarella sticks that I asked the cashier if we could have once they were ready, & she told me that was no problem. After waiting about 15 mins, I went up to the counter to ask if they were ready & a young man gave me the sticks. When I returned to my seat & broke into the first one it was cold in the middle, so I took them back up to the counter & informed the young man, that they were cold in the middle, he apologized & told me they would prepare another order. At that point, an older lady turned around & said loudly, "I literally just took them out." I then tried to explain to her that they were cold in the middle, she then waved her hand at me, & said, "I'm not talking to you!" I replied, that I was the one who returned the sticks because they were cold in the middle, & she could check them if she wanted to. She again said to me, waving her hands & tongs at me, "I said I'm not talking to you!" I then asked her why she was being so rude & aggressive to a paying customer, and she yelled out, "And?!!!" "And?!!!" repeatedly, to imply that she didn't care that I was a paying customer. I finally said, I just want my money back because you are being rude & ignorant. I asked what her name was because I was going to file a complaint, & she yelled, "Larissa!" Another young lady had come out in the midst of Larissa's yelling rant, but did not say anything to Larissa, no one did, but she was the one who processed my refund. I cannot believe Larissa behaved this way over an order of cold mozzarella sticks that I was paying for. She clearly is unstable & should NOT be working with the public. I cannot believe that White Castle management is ok with this, & if she's a manager, there's a lot to be said for White Castle's decision makers. I will not return to this location. The dining room was also dirty & the food was cold, so it's probably best we didn't eat there anyway. We ended up at Steak n Shake, treated well...

I ordered a crave case of original sliders (no cheese) was totalled out to 21 and some change upon payment I was told by the young lady that she had accidentally pressed the wrong order when making the payment for my case and that I apparently had just payed 35 dollars for the guy behind me in line and that she had fixed the charge and I should be receiving a refund of the 15 extra dollars I was charged in 7 to 10 business days and would be refunded to my card I had used for payment and would just appear in my account then . So I take her word and just leave it be until the next day when I seen that I never got any email or message on my PayPal that I was awaiting a dispute on any transaction and no amount of money was pending as a result of the reimbursement from the accidental transaction. I could not dispute the charge because I had received a product and service and could understandably not refund my entire amount on the transaction so after about 1000 hours of the worst customer service I have ever experienced from PayPal I was told over than going to the location and pleading my case to the owner or gm I was out of luck because white castle would not release the obtained funds for reimbursement and made no attempt to rite this wrong . They instead ignore or pretend to not have any way to do anything about it or that I am making up something as some means to getting free food or something wich is laughable as there are many many much simpler means of obtaining...
