Good wine, great food, personable owner and creative atmosphere. We live in Macomb Township and it's worth the 40 minute drive. (previous review)
Visited again on August 31, 2024. Server forgot about appetizer and then delivered it after the salad and right before the entrees. When appetizer was finally brought to table, we inquired if the main courses were finished cooking and simply waiting in the back for us to finish the app. She said no and the owner came by and reiterated that they were not; however, the Lasagna was warm, not hot, when it was brought out by the server. Moreover, the server brought carry out containers and the check five minutes after bringing our entrees as if trying to rush us out. Even more, our check was incorrect and charged $20 for the Chicken Picatta even though the menu says $18. Owner never checked on us again and when I approached him while he was sitting at the bar and relayed what had happened, he said that he had been too busy to follow up and check on us. Yet , when my wife had brought the bill to the bar to show the billing error minutes before, the owner was sitting at the bar conversing with staff. He never intervened after hearing of the overcharge. Makes you wonder if he was aware of the discrepancies between the menu and what the computer system is charging? Nonetheless, it is his responsibility to know and after hearing my wife point out the overcharge to one of his employees at the bar, he should have apologized and became involved. The owner sitting at the bar and ignoring a customer with a problem and his excuse that he is too busy to follow up on an issue caused by his staff, is inexcusable. Was this too much of a burden for him? This is more than enough reason to go elsewhere. No longer worth the 40 mile drive.

Owner did not return any money at all even though he stated in his response that he did. How dishonest!!!! I see this verbiage in his other responses to unfavorable reviews also. Makes one wonder if those responses were lies also. I would never return to this establishment and would rather seek out establishments with quality food and honest...
Read moreHad my second visit here on Saturday, the waitress started off extremely friendly and attentive when our friends arrived the service slowed down, I'm thinking because the restaurant got busy and they didn't have enough help. Before our friend arrived my husband and I started with the meatballs they were wonderful! I also had the gnocchi soup that was wonderful as well. For dinner I had which I know is a big mistake go to Italian restaurant order Italian but I ordered the salmon sandwich, very little salmon huge bun! My husband and friend ordered the stuffed shells they said the chicken had not been seasoned but the sauce was seasoned, maybe you should season the chicken as well. My friends and husband asked for bread to go with their salad never showed up, friend wanted another beer and had to flag down the waitress to get one. Crazy night, started off well. My suggestion would be tried to visit this place during a slow time and definitely get an...
Read moreSome of the best food and service I have ever seen in the Saint Clair area! Our waitress was Alicia, greeted us well, memorizing some of the special requests for the food choices was able to multi task and did a good job helping giving us great choices. Not only is it a restaurant but a winery! Had a sweet like strawberry wine and it wasn’t too sweet or too strong it was perfect! The food was the most authentic style Italian food I probably ever had, I have been to New York City in the last year eating at the some of best Italian restaurants and I would probably put this above places I been to and spent 3x as much. If you want to try something super unique I recommend the banana crepes, like in Italian pancake you can’t get anywhere unless homemade. Definitely will be coming back cause of how different style the food is and feeling like I am in Italy. I will be recommending to multiple people about the service, food, and...
