I dined here tonight with my daughter and husband, and our order wasn't big. We just ordered two hot teas, the teriyaki chicken with rice for my husband two veggie sushi rolls for me, and one tempura sushi roll and salmon sushi roll for my daughter. We waited over an hour to get our food (and it came out one plate at a time when it did come out) to the point that my husband had to ask our server what was taking so long. The server explained that they had to process the sushi orders "as they got them" but he was waiting on a tables that came in after us and bringing them their sushi and larger orders. The server also waited 25-30 minutes in to come and tell me that they were out of the sushi that I ordered, so I had to reorder another one. My husband ordered the teriyaki chicken with rice. When he got his meal it was lukewarm, not fresh and hot. It tasted like it had been sitting out a bit. Thr thing was it didn't seem super busy during this time, and the server never once apologized for the super long wait or even acknowledged it, even when my husband asked why it was taking so long. By the time my party of three got their meals (again one at a time) we felt rushed by the server, and I was taken slightly aback by how small my sushi rolls were, which were really teeny tiny. I had even asked the server how many pieces the sushi came in, and he told me "they all come in either 5, 6, or 8, but the pieces are all the same size. Everyone else's sushi rolls were much bigger than my small tiny ones. Not somewhere we will...

Went in with 5 others, and each had separate tickets. After almost an hour 1/3 of the food came out. The rainbow roll was missing the tuna, and when the waiter was asked about it he said "Oh we are out of tuna" No compensation or price reduction, and no upfront warning. they just made it without the tuna. After the group shrugged it off as a loss. 45 minutes later after 2 tables that had came in after us had been served and half of our table was still sitting without food we tried multiple times to ask the waiter to cancel our orders. Every time we started talking to the waiter he would turn his back to us and walk away, and once responded with "Well there was many sushi rolls" The half of us still waiting on food ordered hibachi not sushi, but the tables that came in over 30 minutes after we had ordered clearly also ordered and received their hibachi. As we went to get up to leave because the rest of the table had completely finished their meal, they came over with ours and sat it down, and within 60 seconds the checks arrived at the table. Noone ever came back to get the checks OR to ask if we wanted to take it to go. They did not cancel our order after multiple requests. almost 2 hours.

We wont be going back. Its one thing to be understaffed and that is 100% understandable, but to ignore questions, to serve an incomplete order without prewarning or taking responsibility, or to turn and walk away when we try to talk to you? Its clear the order and/or tickets was...

First off this was my Birthday Celebration! My Daughter and I were super excited to try TOMO! My overall rating is mixed! Our waiter was in training. And a super nice Young man. The owner seemed very frustrated, And scolding the young waiter in front of the customers. Several times and loudly. In turn set the tone for the experience. Which to me the energy was bad after that. Our order was out of sync. Sushi got served first. But appetizers last. Orders were mixed up. And why wouldn’t they be. With someone projecting anger at you while your learning. The Sushi was pretty Good! But was given minimal sauce and wasabi. The Miso soup was very good. As well as the Sesame salad. The flavor was very good. The fried rice tasted like jasmine rice walked with soy and a few other flavors. Great taste but could of used some veggies in the mix. The Katsu was just a fried piece of Chicken and pork. It was ok. I love Katsu and this was below par. As well as the Katsu sauce. It tasted a little steak saucy. The Gyoza was really good cooked perfect. The teriyaki chicken was pretty good. Parts of the order were really hot and some had sat a pinch. So consistency was not on par. Overall I would give a 50/50 rating for now. I would come back for another visit to give TOMO another try. But at that price. They should over deliver especially for a Birthday. When the customer is trying to spend some cash at your...

Ok place, sometimes they’re good other times like last night you have to wait,, and wait. Our server was totally inept. Having to remind him to bring drinks, to bring silverware having to ask him for a glass for the beer I ordered. Super rushed and frazzled. Having to watch other guests who arrive after you be served eat their meal and leave before you. Other guests that arrived after we did were served sushi and finished their meal, I mention this because the owner told my friend the sushi chef was backed up. I think the really bad waiter didn’t put our order in. . An hour had past since arriving I decided it was time to go. My friends meal arrived 20 minutes before I decided it was time to go. I tried to call to discuss the bad experience but they don’t answer the phone 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’ve changed my review to this place unfortunately.

I took my wife here for an anniversary lunch and was not disappointed! We had pork and calamari hibachi, eel and avocado roll and spicy salmon roll. The latter was a puree style which I'm not a fan of, but the delicate and full flavor taste of the sushi rolls hit the spot. The pork was on the dry side but the calamari was cooked to perfection, super light with a buttery consistency. The winner of the lunch was the crab ragoon appetizer. It's a big deal when I say it is the best ragoon I've ever had! The accompanying sauce was a interesting and flavorful ginger sauce that commented it perfectly. I definitely recommend this place for a filling lunch spot. As of now, they do not have their liquor license so if you're looking for a meal and drinks it'll have to wait until they get theirs...

Got Tomo for the first time as carry out for Christmas dinner. PLEASE PEOPLE, SUPPORT THEM! this is BY FAR the best sushi and Japanese cuisine you can get in St. Joe. Especially if you like sushi. The menu is packed full of goodness. I ordered $140 worth of sushi. I did not get 1 roll I didn’t like. On top of everything, they had the best to go packaging for soups. They stack containers on cardboard, then staple them in a perfectly fitted brown paper bag, THEN Add the plastic bag over that. 6 miso soups, 3 salads, and many dips made the 30 mile drive home safely.
