La Mesa St Joseph Mo — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

The only reason I'm giving two stars is for service. Our waitress was nice and did a good job. The place was decorated nicely. The food was not great. No flavor in the salsa and it was very runny, plus the chips tasted a little old. Also, both dinner plates we ordered didn't come with beans and rice, which when I tasted someone else's rice and beans I really wasn't missing much. They don't have Coke either, I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that doesn't sell Coke. Five of us came for lunch and I feel it was a little pricy, especially since two of us didn't get beans and rice with our DINNER plate... just under $75 for that meal. Also for the women's bathroom the stalls are really short, when sitting your knees almost touch the door, and my wife is only 5' 5'', and in the men's bathroom the urinals are really tall. I place one of the same TWO orders every time I order from here. I either order JUST cheese dip and chips....or we order Pollo bandido and cheese dip and chips. This is the THIRD time now that I have paid for EXPENSIVE cheese dip to get an entire container of SCORCHED cheese dip. I have given y'all THREE times of messing up my order now. It's scorched. Tastes burnt. It is NOT good. The chips are stale again, but that is something I could fix at home. I can't fix scorched cheese at home.
