Dream View — Restaurant in Saint Marys

We there to try the chef's trio board with the filet, crab legs, and shrimp on a Sunday. I must have missed it or it wasn't advertised; but their menu selection is limited to the tavern food menu on Sundays. I was disappointed but figured we might as well stay and try something since we traveled 45 mins here. My wife and I got a giant pretzel with pepperoni and beer cheese. It was real good. Then we had a ceasar salad. It was ok. We ordered french onion soup and it was fantastic! It had a couple pieces of very tender meat. Then we had the nashville hot chicken sandwiches. It had Cole slaw and pickles on it. It was a decent size piece of chicken but it had no nashville flavor that I could taste. I couldn't taste any heat nor flavor. Visiting with friends and they wanted us to try dream view. They had dined there before and said it was excellent. Well last night it was not! To start things off the server spilled my drink all over me. After cleaning up and getting a different chair we ordered our meals. Blackened salmon was ordered and anything but blackened. The mashed potatoes had an over abundance of salt and garlic to them. The baby potatoes were boiled and bland rather than having some type of seasoning to them. Thought it odd that no bread was brought to the table at any time. Overall it was just okay and you would have thought my second drink would have been complimentary as I wore...

Fantastic addition to our area! We just finished up our first visit and we will absolutely be back! We are foodies - sometimes overly critical and we can confidently say, this was one of our best dining experiences to date. The filet mignon was perfectly prepared. The lump crab cakes were phenomenal. The Maine lobster tail was perfect. And can we talk about their mashed potatoes?! They had the most robust flavor - unlike any I’ve ever had. Our server, Sierra (perhaps wrong spelling?), was attentive and did a great job at showing up exactly on time. Our hostess was incredibly personable and welcoming as well.
