Super easy to get with plenty of parking (that's always so nice). We were greeted right as we walked in. The restaurant was very clean and up to date. Their menu is straightforward and easy to read (I hate when a place (especially like a pizza place or burger joint) has pages and pages of menu). We ended up getting the boneless (they did not have bone in) teriyaki wings with some cold beers to begin with. After that, a delicious pizza that was piping hot! Our server was spot on. Seriously, she was great. I think we all agree it's frustrating when they're hovering over you or nowhere to be found. Truly a great place to come in and and have a great meal and cold beer. I hope this helps. Cheers.

Legit. We - my son, his friend, and I ordered it well done. The waitress knew right away the meaning of those words. That was the second good sign. The first good sign was asking around 30 ppl in the twin city area for a recommendation based on my experience of eating thin crust in CHICAGO since the 70s. All gone, including a pan style that was smaller but had to be tried as well. The sauce is sweeter than the Chicagoland fare, but the thin crust stands up. No pun intended. Lovely place. Familial and out-of-the-way sort of joint. Luckily it’s only 6 minutes from my new digs. :) I’ll be returning . 🙂 Happily.

I have been a regular at this carbones for many years now. I am not sure if this location is under new management or what, but the last two times ordering from here have been horrible. I ordered my food at 4:06 and didn't get my order until 5:35. When I called to see where my order was, I was hung up on. When calling back, I was told my pizza just left. No, sorry, or anything. When we opened up our pizza, thinking it must be good if he just left, it was cold and soggy. I will not come back to this location. My money should be refunded at this point. Horrible service, what a waste.

Do NOT order from here. Keep looking. So many great pizza places in the city with WAY better quality and service! Stay clear from IGH Carbones. Our experience started with Unsatisfactory delivery - Pizza arrived with toppings all the way off to one side. Like the driver had to brake too fast maybe!? I noticed after driver left. The issue then was quality- I tried to recut the pizza however it wasn’t cooked in the center of one of them and was a mess trying to put toppings back on the rest that was safe to eat. If it was a $20-$30 order, I likely would have let it go. But I paid $60 so I called to explain and give them a chance to make it right. Local business, community member - figures it would be an easy conversation. I was wrong! The manager or owner accused me of lying and stealing pizza. He said he put my name on a pizza “ban” list. And went on bragging about the amount of money he spent on a pizza oven, defensively interrupting me and telling me I was wrong. I was only asking for 2 large pizzas at a later time due to the issue and inconvenience. It was 10:30pm by this time and we all needed to go to bed! Instead of understanding, accommodating and making it right, they wanted to come back, take the pizzas back to the shop, remake them, and then bring the new ones back out an hour later. It was a ridiculous conversation with someone who clearly doesn’t pride themselves in...

What I have learned in the 15 minutes at this Carbone's- Gatorade bottles make for the best water bottle bongs. I am not sure why the staff insisted on having this discussion as loudly as possible- but they did. While they quite couldn't figure out where my order was at, who cooked it, if it was cooked, they had plenty of time to discuss bongs. I thought it was a bit inappropriate and annoying. I understand the different points of view but this is a place of work -a family oriented pizza joint I would imagine is the goal. The pizza was okay, the SHAVED pickle skins were not spears it is exactly shaved pickle skins- sopping wet with grease and cold by the time they found my order - they could be good cooked right and served hot, Chicken wings I ordered were in no way baked then fried that skin was so soggy and gross. Cheese bread cold. It was okay. We go to the one on 70th over by Cottage grove middle instead now- ITS family friendly over there. I placed my order via phone, waited 15 minutes and came over to Carbones... to take it home.... they told me my stuff was cooking and then lost everything? Eventually found it. I am just sharing...

Today was my first visit to Carbone's, but it won't be the last. The staff was very friendly and patient in spite of the fact that they are utilizing a brand new ordering and payment system today. I'm sure that it was frustrating but they maintained patience and were nice to deal with. The food was great--large portions and tasted delicious. I had a french dip, waffle fries, and a side salad, but I will try the pizza soon. The atmosphere inside is like a family type of establishment and it feels homey. They are not currently offering dine-in, but I will be excited to try that one day too! Plus it's on one of the coolest streets, to me, in the Twin Cities...I always feel like I've stepped back in time when I'm on it, to wild west days. Give it a try, you won't be...
