My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and we were impressed by the food and overall experience. The highlight of my meal was the lamb tibs and the vegetarian platter.
The lamb tibs were cooked to perfection—tender and juicy, with just the right amount of spice to give it a flavorful kick. The seasoning was rich and aromatic, making each bite a delightful experience.
The vegetarian platter was a feast for veggie lovers like us. It included a variety of vegetable stews, lentils, and other delightful plant-based dishes. Each item was distinct in taste and texture. The portion size was generous, and the dish was served with injera, a soft and spongy flatbread.
The restaurant itself had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and a cozy ambiance. The service was prompt and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this Ethiopian restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy delicious,...
Read moreThe food is delicious (though the green beans were a little too sweet for my taste) and the portion size is plentiful. One vegetarian platter fed me for 2 full meals. The service is friendly and the atmosphere inside is nice. The only downside, for which I took a star off, is that the food was not ready upon my arrival. They told me the platter would be ready in 30 mins. I picked up my groceries and was there in exactly 30 mins. The food would not be in my hands for another 25 mins. I usually wouldn't mind the wait but this is during the time of COVID. Being inside a closed space is dangerous and there were 2 tables full of people and someone at the bar. Food is by far the biggest pull of Demera. It is authentic and has just the right amount of spice and flavor. Lentils and vegetable dishes are amazing but the lamb stew is out of this world. It is a must try! This is one of those places where you feel full but keep on eating because your taste buds crave more.
The space is cozy, warm, and understated. The host is extremely friendly and a treat to chat with. Ambience is comfortable. They do need better bathrooms, though. It puts a damper on the...
