I'm big on customer service. If the service is lacking, no matter how good the food is... I don't want it...
This was our first time here and first impressions for restaurants are EVERYTHING!
Let's start on the food first,
We ordered the 2 clusters combo and added extra things to it, plus the lobster fries for our meal...
The lobster fries were amazing.. my husband and I loved everything about it.. they were delicious and the flavor was rich!
The cajun sauce was unique and so flavorful. We loved it compared to Lucious Crab.. as far as portion sizes go, if you're looking for more quality without being up-charged for every extra ingredient then I'd say go to Lucious Crab... flavor wise, I'd say King Cajun...
The sausage we added was beef, extremely over cooked... was almost like rubber... disappointed there...
I paid for 3 extra eggs on mine, only came with 1, so I had 2 missing, my husband asked for 2 extra sausage and it only came with 1... so i think staff should do a better job double checking the order before it leaves the kitchen, 1 mistake is excuseable on an order but both of our orders missing stuff? Looks bad for a new customer...
Staff was also too pushy about when we wanted to pack up our left overs.. if I've already said I'm not ready yet 2 times then maybe back off and let me come to you... but they asked like 4 times with different girls... wasn't even time for closing yet... only 7pm when we got here... I HATE feeling rushed...
Overall, the food was good and flavorful lived up to the expectations from other people's reviews that I've heard but the portions for the prices they charge is a little outrageous.. I'd probably go back to Lucious Crab instead because their sauce wasn't bad it just needed more spice so I'd just order it spicier next time but the portions were WAY bigger for less.....
I'd say 6/10 overall..
Also they give you scissors here and they sucked! Could barely cut because they're so dull... I much prefer original...
Read moreI am from NYC and I have been to a few seafood boil restaurants out there. My mom loves seafood so I wanted to find a good option for her in Minnesota. My parents, sister and I arrived from Shakopee around 2 pm and were pretty much the first guests there. From the start the service was great. We were received with a warm welcome and the menu was explained to us. We were also given good suggestions on items. We had to order from the counter and food would be brought to us later which I wasn't used to but no big deal. We ordered a lb of crawfish, snow crab legs, shrimp and added andouille sausage. The order included potatoes and corn. We also ordered two shrimp sandwiches and fries. While we waited for the order we were given bibs and silverware. This place is straight to the point; order your food, non alcoholic drink and dig in. My family and I loved it all. We finished everything as it was savory, fresh, hot and delicious. The only item that was not on the menu that we were looking for was bread which we wanted to soak up the remaining of house mix sauce. Luckily we were able to order a couple of toasted sandwich buns and that did the job we were looking for just fine. As we were done with our meal more guests arrived and everyone seemed to enjoy their food choices. As my sister would say 10 out of...
Read moreIt's always going to be a little biased when you come from a Cajun background in Louisiana. So, I'm going to be as honest as I can. I've tried to give this place the highest rate possible. The food was ok if one was hungry. I had jumbo fried shrimp 🍤 and cajun fries with a side order of fried okra. The shrimp and okra were ok. The onion rings taste was a bit off, it's like they made the onions in different batter. It smelled good but the taste just didn't match the smell.
Listen, if I was hungry and needed some food, I would stop in to eat. This is my opinion and my opinion only. I'm not discouraging anyone from going here to eat. Go and find out for yourself, you may have a different experience and review.
I like a good clean restroom. This was an A. Clean, fresh smell, lots of tissue to use. So, yes, this was great.
Service/ Customer Service was fine. No one was rude, and they were helpful and explained the menu well. You do have to pay before service for both eating in and take out. They accept all major credit card payments. Also, they have parking on the side of the building.
