I live in the neighborhood & frequented this location right away once it first opened. Since then I’ve watched staff changeover happen quite regularly and service decline rapidly. I typically order ahead online to pick up and it’s very rare my order is ready once I arrive. It’s annoying but it would somewhat be pacified if the staff was at least a little bit friendly. I’ve taken a long break from going to this location after several bad experiences. Today I decided to give it another shot & it’s only gotten worse. While waiting once again for an order I placed 10 minutes prior to showing up, I watched a staff member place donuts in a box for a customer and midway through she stopped to pull her phone out of her pocket to show her coworker something. Have fun at work, that’s fine, but when there’s a lobby full of people waiting and we’re in the middle of a PANDEMIC I don’t think touching a dirty cellphone with the same gloves you’re using to touch a customer’s food is professional and not to mention at all sanitary. The straw that broke the camels back for me today was when everyone else’s orders were picked up while I was standing there waiting, a staff member rudely asked me “ARE YOU WAITING ON SOMETHING?” And when I said my name she pushed a coffee that was sitting on the counter towards me & when I began to tell her I was also waiting on an assortment of donuts she cut me off & said “YEA YEA YEA” while slowly walking away from me. Read moreI placed my ordered online today on 5/14/2021 at 7:45 am for pick up and was on my way to pick it up since I work close to this location. I ordered a Coconut refresher drink and 4 donuts. When I got there, I did not see my order with my name on it. I kindly ask one of the workers if there was an order for me and she asked me if it was for uber eats and I politely said no and that I had ordered it online. The lady brushed me off and didn’t speak to me afterwards and I was just standing there awkwardly. Luckily I had my phone with me and I had my confirmation receipt on my email. So I kindly asked again and told them that I had placed the order this morning and that the transaction has already been taken out from my bank account. I had to show both of the workers my receipt so my order could be made.
Fortunately the other worker was nice enough to take care of my order. I wasn’t upset or anything but I just felt like I didn't matter when the first worker brushed me off when I was asking about my order. Read moreI needed a bit of comfort breakfast in my world that day and Dunkin reminds me of home sometimes. They were slammed and had a few customers unable to go along with their expo and grabbing everyone's orders to check names while the expo pair was clearly calling out names and order numbers as they became ready. Some ppls (very much adult) children. SMH. But the expo team wasn't phased and orders came fast and at least in my case properly assembled, packaged and in my hands without me even having to share my hands with 3 other customers bags.
I enjoyed my bacon egg n cheese croissant sandwich, Boston Kreme donut and cold brew with sweet cream cold foam at an outdoor table, people watching and being happy I was flying solo that morning. Thank you Dunkin crew for getting through that onslaught of unruly, ill-mannered and entitled customers and feeding me (and everyone else) their favorite weekend treats with a quickness and a smile too.
