Well in Saint Paul Minnesota for work and I absolutely hate hitting restaurants that I can go to back home. So I decided to go to El Pollo Felix. A local restaurant extremely busy and I can see why. It is a little small only one entrance, very polite and very clean. Service was friendly. I had the specialty of the day which was a spicy shrimp ceviche. Incredibly tasty for any price but was only $4.99. They have a salsa bar to spice anything there to your liking. I as always want to try the food without adding items to cover up the actual taste of the meal. A delicacy of flavor that complimented everything in that tostada. I also had a carnitas taco which was a little disappointing tasted like chicken more than pork. But, again the items that came with the taco were balanced well nothing over powered any other item in the taco. Overall an excellent meal at a very inexpensive price. If I am in the area again I will most likely visit again. Do not drive too fast you will pass it. But an incredible residential find. Still worthy of a 5 star review despite the carnitas taco tasting of chicken. My rating is based on overall rating of food (key), service, price, value, cleanliness...

I went there and ordered 9 birria tacos and my order was completely wrong. There was no vegetables on my order and no soup that came with my order. I called them as soon as I got home and the guy told me to come back in but at that point they closed in 15min. I told him I lived 20min away and that they would be closed so he told me to call the next day because there was nothing he could do without a manager. I called multiple times the next day and when they finally answered they told me there was nothing they could do because we ate the food. I explained to them it was almost 10pm and that I bought the food for my family. I couldn’t let the kids go without eating. I explained to him I took pictures of every taco that was there to show them because I wanted a refund. They said the only thing they can do was remake 4 tacos for me. Really disappointed. I do not recommend. If you do go there make sure your order is correct...

First time at this restaurant. We ordered the whole chicken with rice and beans, I had a lot of hopes of this place but it was very disappointing. We called to ask about the menu and nobody answered, we thought it was busy so we went there and the person at the register was sitting on his phone, his name was Luis I believe. He had a horrible attitude, he kept rolling his eyes at me when I asked for cups and salsa. I was very polite but he definitely should not be working on register if that’s the attitude his gonna have when a costumer asks for stuff. Dine- in was disgusting so we had to order to go because of that. Food was horrible, rice tasted like fridge and the beans were even worst. Salsas were old and the way they gave us the chicken was awful. We spent 35 dollars on this meal and it was honestly a waste of money, I wish I could get my money back. Definitely never coming back! Check on your...

My husband stopped by their place and ordered a bunch of food. He got me the pescado zarandeado (grilled red snapper) and the bbq ribs. He got himself the carne asada with shrimp plate and pollo asado. My fish was good but not as good as what you can get when you're actually in MX. My advice, eat it at the restaurant. It's a little overcooked when it got home because of the travel. I did not like the the bbq ribs though. Too sweet, but I know a lot of Minnesotans like sweet bbq, so some might like this. My husband liked his carne asada and shrimp plate. I like them too. The shrimp was perfectly done (even with the 40 min or so drive) so that's a plus. The pollo asado was ok. All in all, I'll still try to go there and try some of the other food in the menu, like the alambre and the caldo.

An expensive order for days old boiled ribs drizzled in some funky sauce. Chicken was dry with no flavors. The only thing they could not mess up were the fries. Called them up, got passed around and told to bring the ribs fir replacement. Why don't you just use fresh meat rather than boiling them the days before. At least put it on the grill and pretend it was cooked. This was our first and last time. This place won't be around if it continues taking these shortcuts. Spend your money elsewhere. We tried to mask the taste and smell with spices and it still smelled old so we put it in the most appropriate place, in the trash.
