Plums Neighborhood Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Saint Paul

I wish I could give this place zero stars - it is the worst! I was here about 3 weeks ago on a Friday night. I laid my card up for the tab, as me and my buddy went out for the occasional smoke. When we asked for the tab, the owner ran the card. When you ask for the tab at any reputable place, they bring you the bill with the card back in case you want to change the form of payment or split it up. But, no - he ran it automatically. When I told him that we wanted to split it, he bragged about being the "owner" and said that it was too bad, as he was "very busy".

And they were busy. Not my fault the owner doesn't know how to staff for a Friday night. He then said that he wouldn't cancel the charge and split up the bill. Furthermore, though it was busy, he moved at the speed of molasses in January, and he had no problem glad handing the regulars while ignoring everyone else.

Don't visit this dump. I have never skunked a place on a tip before, but as we were at the bar all night and received the absolute worst service from this unprofessional jerk, I made sure he didn't receive an extra penny! That is no way to...

Save your money. This place needs to close. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR ICE! A freakin dollar to be exact. When I asked why, they said because they had to put a little more spirit in my glass. I didn’t ask for more spirit. I asked for ice. This is straight from the manager. They also get you by asking if you want chips, fries or tatter tots with your burger. THEY DONT TELL YOU THERE IS AN UP CHARGE! Then the manager had the nerve to say, It’s in the menu and did you read it? Really? Your waitress was the one who offered those choices so why would I have to read it?

As for the food, don’t bother! The “up charged” fries were soggy as can be and the chicken wings room temp. Tables are dirty and the manager and waitress look like they are nursing a hangover. We also had a toddler because we came from church. So beware! Do not use their child seats. Broken, scummy and wiggly. Had our toddler on our lap the whole time.

Again, stay away from this place. Much better food and service around the...

Hahaha this place is a joke. My family was having a nice Sunday dinner after church and the servers and manager just had to ruin it. Sucks because the food was not that bad, but the service was absolutely terrible, not to mention the manager who thinks he’s an entitled ass, but is really a selfish sociopath with no absolute common courtesy. The waitress was an absolute airhead and all of them looked like they were either on something or hung over.

They charge you a dollar for frickin ice, they ask you what sides you want and give you options BUT DONT TELL YOU THERES AN EXTRA FEE. I believe this place should close down. And I’m sure it’s not before long that they will considering what kind of disgusting behavior is there.
