First offā¦i want to say the 4 stars given here has nothing to do with the food. As the food was delicious. The problem I had with my experience here was I had never been here before, so I was āwinginā it. And in any event. Itās an easy problem to fix. When I go out to eat, which is often, Iām feeding myself plus 4. With the 4 being my kids ages 6-12. When I arrived there I explained to the cashier that Iāve never been there before and asked him what he would recommend, keep in mind I have 4 kids hanging from my limbs that are hungry. And itās not that I doubted his recommendation and that it wouldnāt be tasty.. it was the cost. As it was some of the more expensive items on the menu. We were there for lunch to boot. And I wasnāt too thrilled at the idea of dropping a Hundo on a lunch for 5. I feel like folks in my or that situation would be better served if you had a list of ālocal favoritesā or something. Something giving a newcomer to your business some safe bets on some options to choose from that arenāt the highest ticket items on the menu. And also a kids menuā¦ā¦unless I completely missed it. But I didnāt see one. The total bill was $60 for lunch for myself and my 4 kids-which seems steep for a lunch but like I said Iām a newcomer to your spot. The food was ābombā by the way but I guess what Iām saying is it would be beneficial to have something in place for noobs that can help them decide what to get as well as maybe some sort of kids menu to help reduce the cost a bit. Iāll definitely be eating there again but Iām more likely to think twice next time my kids are with me, or just not eat there as often as Iād like. Great barbecue sandwiches and fries though....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe fried chicken is the best in the twin cities! Amazing. Perfect. I am shocked however by the customer service. Update:
I dont come here for customer service, just food. So I think it's worth the hassle. I ordered chicken thighs, paid for it and some guy came out to me and tried to negotiate that I get things I didn't order. he was clearly irritated that I ordered only thighs. I only like fried chicken thighs. They are the best.
He then tried to negotiate further by telling me what I'd get... pretty bold.
I simply stood my ground and was ready to simply get a refund and go elsewhere. But he said he'd make my order after all.
Now hey, if before I paid, they said "no"... I'd still be confused, but that would be the best time to negotiate and explain things to a customer.
I suspect it has something to do with how they inventory, and supply orders to customers. Trying to maintain chicken part ratios. Makes sense.
I still don't want anything but chicken thighs. I guess that's because, I don't care how they manage their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Roosters BBQ Deli, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the enticing aroma of smoky BBQ welcomed me, setting the stage for what turned out to be a delicious meal.
First off, the ribs were truly the highlight of the meal. They were smoked to perfection, tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of char. Each bite melted in my mouth, and I found myself savoring every piece.
The fries were equally impressiveācrispy and seasoned well, they provided the perfect sidekick to the main event. I loved how they complemented the rich flavors of the BBQ without overshadowing it.
I also tried the large BBQ sandwich, which was absolutely amazing! Generously portioned and packed with smoky goodness, it was a satisfying treat. The Memphis-style BBQ sandwich with coleslaw was another standout; the blend of flavors was perfect, with the tangy slaw enhancing the already rich taste of the BBQ.
Overall, Roosters BBQ Deli is a fantastic spot for BBQ lovers. The quality of the food, combined with the warm and welcoming atmosphere, makes it a must-visit in Minneapolis. I canāt wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings! Highly recommended!
P.S. my video and pictures didnāt do it justice so take my...
