Kahwa Coffee — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

My first time here, I used the drive through. First off the outside seating looked very clean and well taken care of as I drove by. The order signs are easy to read and make sense. The drive through is a tiny bit tight but I have a big campervan. I had a bunch of pesky questions and the drive through attendant did really well answering even though it was only her 5th day working there. Her attitude was refreshing and upbeat! I ended up ordering a double cappuccino and an almond croissant. I have been a barista at several independent coffee houses and a good cappuccino is a test of a coffee place. This cup passed with flying colors! Nice full rich coffee from an obviously good roast. Froth/milk was perfect and they added some raw sugar for me w/o issue. The almond croissant was very yummy! I have to admit I can be picky about this bakery item (I'm a Californian and an almond croissant ranks right up there with sourdough for us) . Nice touch? The food is pretty good here but you never know what you're going to get. You can order something pull away and it will be different than what you order. The girls like to have conversations with their friends at the window, sometimes the people haven't even ordered anything, they just pull up to the window and talk while you're waiting to get your food and go to work. I used to love this place. Now I find myself avoiding it. The coffee was the perfect balance of strong yet smooth. However every time I have gone in the past year, It seems like the coffee taste bitter and almost burnt. I've complained to the staff and they've made efforts to resolve the issue by replacing my cup of coffee, but it never solves the problem.
