Customer service is GREAT! The lady who rings up the orders is very talkative and funny, she has very positive energy. The owner wasn't that friendly at least to my gf and I and came off a little cocky. I mentioned what a good job he did with the food and he didnt even respond and when my gf said bye, he didn't respond to her either but looked her right in the eye. It was our 1st time eating there so you would think he would come up to us and ask "how is the food" but he didn't..... however he did make time to ask the young lady next to us. The food was luke warm but for the most part very tasty. We will not be going back!!! There is a vegan place that we love to go to in Tampa called Farmacy Vegan Kitchen that we will definitely make the drive to the next time we want good vegan food and...
Read moreMy husband surprised me w take out from Rays on Mother’s Day . Our local go-to vegan spots are all closed and so he tried something new- SO GLAD HE DID! He ordered, I imagine, one of everything : MAC n Cheese, greens, meatloaf, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, frittata, quiche, pasta salad, chocolate cake, lemon cake, AND peach cobbler. Not a single thing was a disappointment. Our two two year olds and four year old loved all of it too. The meatloaf was so good and I would put that sauce on ANYTHING! The desserts were amazing. I loved the greens and my husband loved the Brussels sprouts . The kids were obsessed w the pasta salad. Everyone crushed the Mac n cheese. I hope to eat from Rays...
Read moreAs a person of color who was raised on “soul food” this wasn’t it. I really wanted to enjoy the meal but I just couldn’t push myself. We had the jerk Mac, cabbage, and meatloaf with mash potatoes. None of these items besides the cabbage and mashed potatoes are “soul food” delicacies. I was disappointed to see a lot of Caribbean dubbed items but not enough “soul food” items. The flavoring on everything lacked severely, and more so felt like I was eating a TV dinner. I’m hoping that in the future the creators/cooks can taste test the food for themselves and revamp the menu to what “soul food” is supposed to...
